Collects third straight win
Chandler (6-8) picked up the win in Friday's 8-4 victory over the Red Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.
Impact
The right-hander blanked Boston for four frames before running into a bit of trouble in the fifth, but the Pirates had already built a 4-0 lead at that point. Chandler has won three straight starts and given up three earned runs or fewer in six straight, posting a 2.56 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB through 31.2 innings over that latter stretch. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is set to come at home next week against the Tigers.

Blanks Mets on Saturday
Chandler (5-8) earned the win against the Mets on Saturday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out five across six scoreless innings.
Impact
Chandler got plenty of run support from his teammates, who supplied eight runs through the first four innings. The 23-year-old right-hander held his end of the bargain, facing the minimum number of batters in three of six frames while ending his night with back-to-back strikeouts in the sixth inning en route to his fourth quality start of the season (and second since the All-Star break). Chandler will take a 4.26 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 116.1 innings into his next start, which is lined up for next weekend against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Fans five in fourth win
Chandler (4-8) earned the win Monday against the Brewers, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out five.
Impact
A throwing error by Esmerlyn Valdez kept an earned run off Chandler's line in the sixth inning, but the hurler was then lifted from the outing promptly following that sequence. The hard-throwing right-hander's control has been erratic all year long, as Monday marked the 11th time this year that he's issued at least three walks among his 22 outings. Chandler will take a 4.49 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and an especially concerning 98:61 K:BB over 110.1 innings into his next scheduled start against the reeling Mets.

Impact
Chandler looked headed for his ninth loss of the season, but the Pirates scored six runs between the eighth and ninth innings, so Chandler was able to escape with a no-decision. Still, he hasn't been consistent lately. Over his last six starts, the 24-year-old has three outings in which he's allowed two runs or fewer, and three in which he's given up at least four runs. Chandler will look to bounce back in his next start, scheduled for Sunday at Cincinnati.

Impact
The right-hander put together arguably his best outing of the season, firing 57 of 84 pitches for strikes in his third quality start of 2026, but he left the mound with the score tied 0-0 in an eventual 2-0 victory for New York. Chandler has given up two earned runs of fewer in five of his last seven trips to the mound, posting a 3.76 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB over 38.1 innings during that stretch. He'll look for his first win in July in his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Diamondbacks.

Starting Game 2 of doubleheader
Chandler will start Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Impact
Chandler was set to start Tuesday before the game ended up being postponed due to poor weather, but he'll now handle Wednesday's nightcap. The right-hander has struggled to a 6.60 ERA and 1.80 WHIP with nine walks and 12 strikeouts over 15 innings in his last three starts.

Tuesday's game postponed
Chandler won't pitch as scheduled Tuesday against the Yankees since the game postponed due to a forecast of inclement weather, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Impact
The 23-year-old's first start coming out of the All-Star break will have to wait at least one more day, with Tuesday's game being made up via a doubleheader Wednesday. Chandler, who has a 4.77 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 85:55 K:BB over 94.1 innings this season, should start one of those contests in the twin bill.

Impact
It was a slightly better effort for Chandler after he failed to strike out a batter and coughed up four runs in four innings in his prior start, but the 23-year-old right-hander is still struggling to find some consistency. He heads into the All-Star break with a 4.77 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 85:55 K:BB through 94.1 innings.

Impact
Chandler needed 86 pitches to get through four innings, just 47 of which were strikes. The 23-year-old right-hander has now given up nine runs over 10.1 innings in his last two starts after posting a 2.82 ERA across 22.1 frames in his prior four outings. Overall, Chandler is 3-8 with a 4.82 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 79:52 K:BB across 89.2 innings this season. He'll look to get back on track his next time out, currently scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Brewers.

Fans six in Tuesday's loss
Chandler (3-8) took the loss Tuesday, giving up five runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.1 innings as the Pirates were blanked 8-0 by the Phillies. He struck out six.
Impact
The right-hander kept things close until running out of gas in the seventh inning after 97 pitches (65 strikes), but Chandler had no margin for error with Cristopher Sanchez locked in for Philly. It's the first time since June 2 that Chandler has been tagged for more than two earned runs, and through six starts on the month he sports a 4.28 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB in 33.2 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, which is set to come on the road this weekend against the Nationals.

Sharp in third win
Chandler (3-7) earned the win Thursday over the Mariners, allowing a run on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.
Impact
It was a strong performance from Chandler, who held the Mariners scoreless for four innings before allowing a lone run in the fifth. The right-hander has now held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his last four outings, posting a 2.82 ERA across 22.2 innings in that span. Overall, Chandler's ERA sits at 4.42 through 79.1 innings this season with a 1.39 WHIP and 73:46 K:BB. He's currently lined up to face the Phillies on the road his next time out.

Posts quality start in no-decision
Chandler didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Rockies after tossing six innings of two-run ball, allowing six hits and walking two while striking out one.
Impact
Chandler recorded a quality start for the first time since April 17, and this was just the second time all season that he's pitched six complete frames. He seems to be trending in the right direction. After posting a 4.70 ERA across five outings and 23 innings in May, Chandler has given up two earned runs in each of his last three starts and owns a 4.09 ERA in four starts (22 innings) in June. He's slated to make his next start at home against the Mariners.
