Impact The right-hander spent a week and a half in the minors after being sent down May 11, but he'll provide additional bullpen depth after Chad Green (elbow) was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday. Marinaccio has made four relief appearances for the Yankees this year and has allowed five runs in four innings.

Impact Marinaccio didn't see any usage out of the bullpen following his call-up from Triple-A on Sunday. The Yankees haven't announced an immediate replacement for Marinaccio on the 26-man active roster, but the team now has an opening to bring aboard Luis Gil from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in advance of his scheduled spot start Thursday against the White Sox.

Gets spot on Opening Day roster Marinaccio will make the Yankees' Opening Day roster according to manager Aaron Boone, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

Impact Boone previously indicated that Marinaccio was likely to break camp with the club, and that appears to be the case given Boone's statement Tuesday. The 26-year-old's first appearance with the Yankees during the regular season will mark his big-league debut.
