Impact Fairbanks was shut down from throwing for a few days after receiving injections to treat the nerve issue in his right hand, but he's now been cleared to resume throwing off a mound following re-evaluation. A timeline for his return may become clearer once he gets a few more bullpen sessions in. In the meantime, Calvin Faucher and Michael Petersen figure to be the favorites for saves in Miami.

Impact Fairbanks called for the trainer after issuing a walk to the lone batter he faced in the top of the ninth inning, and he walked off the mound to the clubhouse after a brief conversation. The location and nature of the injury is unknown at this time, but he'll presumably be sent for further evaluation after exiting.
