Another disastrous outing
Fry (4-5) took the loss versus Tampa Bay on Sunday. He recorded one out while allowing four runs on a hit and three walks.
Impact
Fry threw only 12 of his 25 pitches for strikes in an erratic and difficult appearance in the eighth inning. The southpaw has completely fallen apart in August with nine runs allowed in two innings across four appearances. He's now taken two straight losses while his ERA has ballooned from 3.35 from the end of July to its current 5.10 with the recent struggles.

Struggles again
Fry (4-4) took the loss Friday versus Tampa Bay. He failed to record an out while allowing three runs on a hit and two walks.
Impact
The 29-year-old was brought in for the eighth inning, but he allowed three straight batters to reach base. Dillon Tate then allowed all of the inherited runners to score as Tampa Bay took control of the contest. Fry has gotten off to a terrible start in August with five runs allowed over his last 1.2 innings. His ERA has skyrocketed to 4.29 with a 1.21 WHIP and 57:23 K:BB in 42 innings, and continued struggles could limit his fantasy appeal further after he's already lost out on closing duties.

Makes mess in seventh inning
Fry allowed two runs on a hit and a walk in one-third of an inning during Wednesday's 10-3 loss to the Yankees.
Impact
The southpaw allowed an inherited runner from Cole Sulser to score the go-ahead run, sticking the latter with the loss in the contest. After that, Fry did little to help the situation, as both of his baserunners scored on Dillon Tate's watch. Entering Wednesday, Fry had an 8.2-inning scoreless streak that came to a sudden end. He's still been a solid high-leverage option this year with a 3.64 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 57:21 K:BB, two saves and 10 holds through 42 innings. As a lefty, he may be needed earlier in games than the ninth inning, although Baltimore manager Brandon Hyde has been reluctant to stick with one closer throughout a difficult season.

Picks up relief win
Fry (4-3) struck out three in 1.1 perfect innings to earn the win against the Nationals on Friday.
Impact
Fry gave up two runs in his final appearance prior to the All-Star break, but he's now tossed 4.2 scoreless innings across his last four appearances. The southpaw has earned two wins and a hold during that time. Fry had been used as a closer earlier in the season, but he entered Friday's game in the fifth inning, and he hasn't earned a save since June 4.

Earns win
Fry (3-3) struck out one in 1.1 perfect innings to earn the win Saturday versus Kansas City.
Impact
Fry finished off the fifth inning after starter Jorge Lopez ran into trouble. With Baltimore already far ahead, Fry was in line for the win, and the bullpen provided 4.1 scoreless innings to keep it that way. The southpaw hasn't been great lately with 10 runs allowed over his last nine innings. It's unclear how he'll be utilized going forward -- as a lefty, he may be needed earlier in games, which could limit his potential impact as a closer.

Takes walkoff loss
Fry (2-3) allowed a run on a hit and a walk with one strikeout in one-third of an inning Friday, taking the loss versus the Angels.
Impact
Fry was able to get the second out in the ninth inning, but Shohei Ohtani stole second base and Jared Walsh hit a walkoff single to end the back-and-forth game. Across his last 11 outings, Fry has given up eight runs on 12 hits and eight walks with 11 strikeouts in 11 innings. He has a 3.77 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 42:16 K:BB across 31 innings overall. With two holds, two wins and two losses in his last six appearances, Fry seems to have ceded closing duties to Cole Sulser for the time being.

Snags win Monday
Fry (2-2) allowed three runs on three hits and struck out one in 1.1 innings, earning the win Monday versus Houston.
Impact
Fry pitched well in the eighth inning to keep the game tied before Baltimore's offense put up a five-spot in the ninth. The southpaw was kept in the game, but he struggled in the bottom of the ninth, and eventually Adam Plutko was called upon to close out the contest. The tough outing inflated Fry's ERA to 3.68 with a 1.23 WHIP and 41:14 K:BB across 29.1 innings. Despite taking on the closer role in late May, the 28-year-old has just two saves to go with seven holds and two blown saves in 30 outings.
