Impact The outfielder did a little bit of almost everything Thursday. Mercado has seen some success on the basepaths lately, notching two of his seven steals this year in the last five games. He's slashing only .221/.300/.368 in 228 plate appearances while adding six home runs, 18 RBI and 27 runs scored. The 26-year-old will likely get a couple more chances to audition for a roster spot ahead of the 2022 season.

Impact The 26-year-old has seen a fair share of playing time as part of Cleveland's corner outfield rotation, but he has gone just 8-for-51 (.157) in September. Mercado has homered three times in 18 games this month, but his cold bat has seen him serve as more of a fourth outfielder.
