Gets another start to close season
Davis is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Dodgers at Coors Field.
Impact
Davis will be making a second straight turn through Colorado's rotation in what likely represents his final appearance of the season, barring him being needed in relief for Sunday's finale against the Twins on three days' rest. The right-hander struck out four over five innings this past Friday against the Cubs, but he was handed the loss after serving up three earned runs on four hits and three walks. He's not a recommended streaming option Wednesday while pitching at a hitter-friendly park against one of the majors' top offenses.

Allows three runs in loss
Davis (0-3) took the loss Friday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings against the Cubs. He struck out four.
Impact
Making his first major-league start since June 20, the 26-year-old right-hander gave up an RBI single to Seiya Suzuki in the bottom of the first inning before then surrendering a two-run homer to Suzuki in the bottom of the fourth. Davis could get one more turn in the Rockies' rotation before their 2023 season comes to a close, but that lines up as a tough matchup against the Dodgers next week at Coors Field.

Picking up start Friday
Davis is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Impact
After being called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Davis worked out of the bullpen later that day in the Rockies' series finale with the Giants, tossing two scoreless innings. With both Kyle Freeland (oblique) and Peter Lambert (biceps) recently moving to the injured list, Davis looks like he'll get the chance to finish the season in the Colorado rotation. Prior to his call-up, Davis made a seven-inning start for Albuquerque on Sept. 13, so he should be sufficiently stretched out for Friday's game. Davis owns a 9.58 ERA, 2.03 WHIP and 18:10 K:BB over 20.2 innings across six appearances (four starts) for the big club this season.

Rejoins big-league club
Davis was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Impact
Kyle Freeland (oblique) and Peter Lambert (biceps) have landed on the injured list the past two days, leaving Colorado with some holes in its starting rotation. Davis has a 10.61 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 16:10 K:BB across 18.2 major-league innings this season, but he could receive some starts down the stretch given the injuries to Rockies starting pitchers.

Impact
The 26-year-old righty was on the shelf at Triple-A for about a month due to the unspecified injury. He's fared well in both of his first two starts since returning from the IL and could get another look in the Rockies' big-league rotation in September.

Impact
Davis is likely to make at least one more rehab start in the ACL or with another lower-level affiliate before he makes his return to Triple-A Albuquerque's rotation. The 26-year-old righty has been out of action at Albuquerque since July 9 due to an unspecified injury.

Shelved at Triple-A
Triple-A Albuquerque placed Davis on its 7-day injured list Tuesday with an unspecified injury.
Impact
The Rockies have two openings in the big-league rotation at the moment, but Davis' injury will disqualify him from consideration for filling the void. Even before he was shut down at Albuquerque, Davis might not have been the Rockies' first choice for a promotion after he struggled mightily over his multiple stints with the big club earlier this season. In his five appearances (four starts) at the big-league level, Davis posted a 10.61 ERA and 2.25 WHIP across 18.2 innings.

Optioned to Triple-A
Colorado optioned Davis to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.
Impact
Davis was lit up for nine earned runs over three innings of relief in Saturday's 25-1 loss to the Angels. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 10.61 ERA in 18.2 innings of work this season in the majors.

Called up Friday
Davis was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact
Davis will return to the big-league roster just two days after he was sent down Wednesday, replacing Brent Suter (oblique) in Colorado after Suter was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday. Davis has produced an inflated 7.47 ERA and 1.91 WHIP with 14 strikeouts over 15.2 innings over four starts with the Rockies this season.

Demoted to Triple-A
The Rockies optioned Davis to Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.
Impact
After a month-long stay on the injured list due to elbow inflammation before he was optioned to the minors, Davis rejoined the Colorado rotation Tuesday. The rookie right-hander was unable to make a case for a more permanent stint with the big club, however, as he was blasted for five earned runs on five hits and four walks across four innings en route to taking a loss against the Reds. Davis will cede his spot on the 26-man active roster to right-hander Karl Kauffmann, who is expected to serve as a bulk reliever in Wednesday's series finale in Cincinnati.

Chased for five runs
Davis took the loss Tuesday against the Reds after giving up five runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two over four innings.
Impact
Davis tossed clean innings in the first and fourth but allowed a three-run homer in to TJ Friedl in the second and a solo blast to Elly De La Cruz in the third. He generated just five swinging strikes in a very unimpressive start. Davis now has a 7.47 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 14:9 K:BB in 15.2 innings. He tentatively lines up for a home start against the Dodgers next week and should not be considered for any fantasy lineups.

ROTOWIRE
Recalled for start
Colorado recalled Davis from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
Impact
As expected, Davis gets the call to start for the Rockies in Tuesday night's game against the host Reds. The 26-year-old carries a rough 6.17 ERA in 11.2 major-league innings (three starts) this season and is not a recommended fantasy streamer versus a Cincinnati team that is riding a nine-game winning streak.

ROTOWIRE
Confirmed for start Tuesday
The Rockies will promote Davis from Triple-A Albuquerque to start Tuesday against the Reds, Suzie Hunter of TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact
Davis will step in -- at least for now -- as the fifth man in Colorado's rotation after Dinelson Lamet was designated for assignment Saturday. Davis has started three games this season for the Rockies, posting a 6.17 ERA and 1.80 WHIP with 12 strikeouts across 11.2 innings. Whether or not Davis sticks around in the Rockies' rotation could depend on his performance against the red-hot Reds on Tuesday.

ROTOWIRE
Activated, optioned to Triple-A
Colorado activated Davis (elbow) from the 15-day injured Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Impact
Davis has moved past the right elbow inflammation that sent him to the injured list April 30, but the Rockies will keep him on the farm for now. He tossed four scoreless innings on 58 pitches in a rehab start Wednesday with Albuquerque. The 26-year-old had struggled to a 6.17 ERA in three major-league starts (11.2 innings) prior to the IL stint.

ROTOWIRE
Excels in first rehab start
Davis (elbow) struck out six and allowed two hits and one walk over four scoreless innings in his first rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Albuquerque.
Impact
Davis was making his first appearance at any level in just over a month after the Rockies placed him on the 15-day injured list April 30 due to right shoulder inflammation. The 26-year-old was about as good as could have been expected in his return to action for Albuquerque, as he needed just 58 pitches to retire 12 hitters. The Rockies will likely want Davis to get a little more stretched out over at least one more rehab start before he's reinstated from the IL and moved back into the big-league rotation.

ROTOWIRE
Close to rehab starts
Davis (elbow) is on track to begin a minor-league rehab assignment next week with Triple-A Albuquerque, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact
Davis has made recent progress in his recovery from right elbow inflammation and might be an option again for the Rockies' injury-riddled rotation around mid-June. The 26-year-old had registered a 6.17 ERA through 11.2 major-league innings (three starts) this year prior to landing on the IL in late April.

Out with elbow inflammation
The Rockies placed Davis on the 15-day injured list Sunday with right elbow inflammation.
Impact
Davis will miss at least two weeks with the inflammation, and he likely picked up the injury during Saturday's loss to the Diamondbacks. The Rockies have recalled Nick Mears from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

Takes first loss of season
Davis (0-1) took the loss Saturday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks over two innings in a 11-4 loss to the Diamondbacks. He struck out two.
Impact
Davis got completely dominated by the Arizona offense, after giving up just one run over his first 9.2 innings pitched this year. The rookie was bound to have a bad game at some point, and he'll have plenty of chances for redemption going forward. The right-hander's next opportunity is tentatively scheduled to be against the Mets on the road in a few days.

Strikes out five in solid start
Davis did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and zero walks over 4.2 innings during a 4-3 loss to the Phillies. He struck out five.
Impact
Making his second start in place of German Marquez (forearm), Davis once again served as an admirable fill-in option. He was tagged for two runs (one earned) in a shaky fourth that included an error, a hit by pitch and a run-scoring balk, but other than that, he was solid and got pulled in the fifth after giving up a two-out single to Nick Castellanos. Through two starts (9.2 innings), Davis holds a 0.93 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP and a strong 10:3 K:BB.

Impressive in first start
Davis allowed three hits and three walks over five shutout inning during Sunday's loss to Seattle. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.
Impact
Davis sprinkled three walks and three singles throughout his first career MLB start. He forced inning-ending double plays in the third and fourth frames to escape danger. The 25-year-old righty had just six strikeouts in 12.2 Triple-A innings before Sunday's outing. With German Marquez (forearm) on the injured list, Davis will likely stick around for another start, which is projected to be in Philadelphia next week.

Recalled for start against SEA
Davis was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque by the Rockies on Sunday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact
Davis is being recalled from the Isotopes to make a start against the Mariners on Sunday with German Marquez (forearm) on the injured list. The Rockies sent down Nolan Jones in a corresponding move. Davis should be stretched out for the start, but his lack of swing-and-miss stuff makes him a poor fantasy option in the short- and long-term.
