Albert Abreu - Will make Opening Day roster Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Friday that Abreu will be on the team's Opening Day roster, Max Goodman of SI.com reports.
Impact Abreu has looked great this spring, pitching 4.2 scoreless innings during which he has allowed only one hit and posted a 6:0 K:BB. Beyond the Grapefruit League success, the right-hander's security on the 28-man roster is buoyed by the fact that he's out of minor-league options. Abreu got his first extended look in the majors last season, posting a 5.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 35:19 K:BB across 36.2 relief innings.

Jonathan Schoop - Appears destined for second With Spencer Torkelson making the Opening Day roster, per Jason Beck of MLB.com, Schoop will likely serve as the Tigers' primary second baseman this season.
Impact Schoop primarily worked at first base for the Tigers in 2021, but that's where Torkelson will be playing in 2022. That should shift Schoop back to the keystone, where he's played plenty in his nine-year MLB career. The veteran is coming off a solid season in which he provided 22 home runs and 84 RBI, and he should be a solid fantasy asset in the middle infield this year.

Miguel Cabrera - Should be regular DH With Spencer Torkelson making the Opening Day roster, per Jason Beck of MLB.com, Cabrera will likely serve as the team's primary designated hitter this season.
Impact Cabrera made 44 appearances at first base last season versus 83 starts at DH, and that split could get even more extreme in 2022 with Torkelson on board and set to play first most days. Cabrera may still fill in at first when Torkelson rests, but the veteran looks like he won't play the field very much unless injuries change the team's plans.
