Jack Anderson - Heading back to Worcester The Red Sox will option Anderson to Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.
Impact Anderson has made three appearances since being called up from Worcester on April 14, giving up three earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six batters over eight innings. Despite his encouraging performance, he'll be sent back to the minors in favor of Eduardo Rivera, who will presumably replace Anderson as a long-relief option.

Eduardo Rivera - Headed to majors The Red Sox are expected to select Rivera's contract from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Impact Rivera reported to Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, but he's now set to join the big-league roster before ever making an appearance with the WooSox. The 22-year-old has allowed just one earned run while compiling a 16:3 K:BB over 10 innings (two starts) at Double-A Portland. The Red Sox have an opening in their rotation, but they could limit Rivera to long-relief duty while he's in the majors.

Connelly Early - Saddled with loss Tuesday Early (1-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts across 5.1 innings.
Impact Early had success against the non-Giancarlo Stanton members of the New York lineup, but Stanton tagged Early for a solo homer to lead off the second inning before smacking a two-run double in the sixth. It was the extent of the damage against Early, who has looked good through five starts to begin the season. The left-hander owns a 2.88 ERA and 24:13 K:BB across 25 innings. He's expected to make his next start Sunday on the road against the Orioles.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. - First multi-hit game of season Chisholm went 2-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Red Sox.
Impact Chisholm's box score didn't bear much fruit, but it was notable since it snapped a 1-for-12 skid and was his first multi-hit game of the 2026 season. It only took him 23 team games to accomplish the feat. Chisholm has been dropped to seventh in the order in recent days and is slashing just .182/.276/.247 with zero home runs, three RBI, six runs scored, eight stolen bases and a 9:27 BB:K across 87 plate appearances.

Giancarlo Stanton - Homers, drives in three Tuesday Stanton went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Red Sox.
Impact Stanton accounted for most of the offense for the Yankees, swatting a solo homer to lead off the top of the second inning before driving in two more with a double in the sixth. Stanton has now homered in two of his last four games after going 15 games without a long ball. He's slashing .253/.306/418 with three home runs, 13 RBI, seven runs scored, one stolen base and a 6:25 BB:K across 85 plate appearances.

Luis Gil - Allows just two hits in win Gil (1-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing two hits and three walks with two strikeouts across 6.1 shutout innings.
Impact After allowing four homers and seven earned runs across nine innings in his first two starts of the season, Gil was able to keep the Red Sox off the scoreboard Tuesday. Walks are still a problem for Gil, and he's also not striking out many batters. The right-hander now owns a 4.11 ERA and 9:8 K:BB across 15.1 innings. He's likely to make his fourth start this coming weekend against Houston, but Gil could be the odd man out of the rotation once Carlos Rodon (elbow/hamstring) is ready to make his season debut.
