Inefficient in no-decision Cobb didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rays, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out two.
Impact The right-hander got enough run support to pick up the win, as the O's launched three homers on the night, but Cobb couldn't last long enough to qualify -- he needed a whopping 87 pitches (53 strikes) just to record 12 outs. Through two starts to begin the season he has an encouraging 2.89 ERA and 8:3 K:BB over 9.1 innings. Cobb will face a tough challenge in his next outing, however, at home against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Swats first homer Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Orioles.
Impact He took Paul Fry deep in the fifth inning for his first homer of the year, knotting the score at 3-3 and taking Blake Snell off the hook for a loss. Lowe had gone 0-for-8 with four strikeouts over the prior two games, but the streaky infielder is still batting a robust ,300 (9-for-30) to begin the season with six RBI in eight games.

Homers in third straight game Judge went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run and two strikeouts in Friday's win against the Red Sox.
Impact Judge struggled with strikeouts once again Friday, but he made up for it with his third home run in as many games. The slugger put the Yankees ahead with his two-run homer in the third inning as the team eventually secured a 5-1 victory. Judge has a .974 OPS with eight RBI and 10 strikeouts to begin the season.

Hurt by long ball Friday Snell didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Orioles, allowing three runs on four hits over three-plus innings. He struck out four.
Impact He appeared to be in complete control for three scoreless frames, but a Renato Nunez double and homers by Anthony Santander and Pedro Severino in the fourth brought Snell's night to an abrupt end. The southpaw threw 53 pitches (37 strikes) as the Rays slowly extend his workload, but barring a big jump in his pitch count, Snell doesn't appear close to being a consistent threat to last the five innings necessary to qualify for a win. His next outing is scheduled for Thursday, at home against the Yankees.
