Riley Greene - Displays versatility Greene went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and one steal in Thursday's win over the Mets.
Impact Greene extended his hit streak to eight games Thursday, while also crossing the plate for the fifth consecutive contest. The Tigers launched out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning after back-to-back solo homers by Greene and Javier Baez. Alex Lange - Fans two in fifth save Lange picked up the save in Thursday's 2-0 victory over the Mets. He allowed one hit while striking out two over one scoreless inning.
Impact Lange turned in another scoreless outing, marking his 11th consecutive appearance without giving up a run while nabbing his fifth save of the campaign. He has bounced back from a poor start to the season, striking out at least one batter in every appearance since April 9 after failing to record a punchout in his first 3.2 innings. Though Lange has shown the ability to be a trustworthy closing option, save opportunities will likely come at a premium considering the Tigers are 13-17 and tout one of the least talented MLB rosters.

Justin Verlander - Tagged for two homers in debut Verlander (0-1) took the loss Thursday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over five innings against Detroit. He struck out five.
Impact Verlander made his first start of 2023 after being held out for the first five weeks of action with a strained right shoulder. The 40-year-old struggled to get through the first inning giving up back-to-back solo home runs to Riley Greene and Javier Baez. Outside of the two long balls, Verlander exited Thursday's outing relatively unscathed, giving up just three other hits and no more runs. Though he managed to make it through five innings, Verlander was yanked at just 79 pitches. He will likely continue to face limitations moving forward, but fantasy managers should expect Verlander's pitch count to increase as he works his way back from injury.

Eduardo Rodriguez - Tosses gem Thursday Rodriguez (3-2) earned the win Thursday, allowing two hits and one walk over eight scoreless innings against the Mets. He struck out nine.
Impact Rodriguez picked up his third win in his last four starts, fanning nine over eight scoreless innings. The 30-year-old has been off to a blazing start to 2023, holding a 1.81 ERA through six starts after finishing the last two seasons with a 4.05 and 4.74 ERA, respectively. Rodriguez has filled the role of Detroit's top arm thus far and has allowed just two runs over his last five starts (34.2 innings) while striking out 33 batters. The southpaw has also logged quality starts in four of his last five appearances and should remain a strong fantasy option until he shows otherwise.
