INJURIES

Hits two-run blast in loss Lowe went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and additional RBI in a loss to the Phillies on Saturday.
Impact The first baseman connected for his first homer of the 2025 campaign late in the game with his team down 11-3 and added an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, but it was too little, too late for his club. In 2022, Lowe blasted 27 home runs, but the power numbers dipped to 17 and 16 homers in the two seasons that followed. Now with a new team, he'll hope to find his power stroke again in 2025.

Ranking the 10 best first basemen in MLB for 2025
Slow going in spring ball Lowe went 1-for-3 with a strikeout in Sunday's spring game against the Rays and is hitting .200 through 13 Grapefruit League contests.
Impact The first baseman hasn't been a strong spring performer throughout his career with a .227 average, so the poor numbers don't necessarily mean much. After being acquired from the Rangers in December, Lowe will bring some stability to first base in Washington after posting a .265/.361/.401 slash line with 16 homers and 69 RBI last year.

Loses arbitration case Lowe will make $10.3 million in 2025 after losing his arbitration hearing against the Nationals on Saturday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Lowe will receive $800,000 less than what he filed for, but it still represents a $2.8 million raise from last season. The 29-year-old slashed .265/.361/.401 with 16 homers and 69 RBI across 565 plate appearances last season with the Rangers. He was traded to Washington in December, where he should continue to see regular opportunities at first base.
