Stays hot with pair of homers
Lowe went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and four RBI in Tuesday's victory over the Blue Jays.
Impact
Lowe got Texas on the board with a two-run shot in the first inning and slugged another two-run homer in the third. The 25-year-old has gotten off to a fantastic start to the 2021 season, collecting at least one hit and RBI in each of his five contests thus far. Lowe is slashing .381/.409/.857 and leads all of baseball with 14 RBI.

Extends RBI streak
Lowe went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's 6-2 loss to Toronto.
Impact
Lowe turned around a sluggish spring in a hurry once the regular season started. He's driven in at least one run in all four of the Rangers' games to open the campaign, and with 10 RBI in total, he currently leads the majors in that category.

Mashes three-run homer
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Royals.
Impact
Lowe opened the scoring with his third-inning homer. It was his first long ball of the season. The 25-year-old worked as the designated hitter Sunday, but he's also the Rangers' primary first baseman to begin the year. Lowe went 5-for-14 (.357) with a homer, nine RBI and two runs scored in the three-game series against the Royals. He also struck out five times and didn't draw a walk. Plate discipline could be a factor later in the year if he starts to slump.

Rewards manager's patience
Lowe went 2-for-6 with a double, four RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 14-10 loss to the Royals.
Impact
Lowe, acquired from Tampa Bay in the offseason to be Texas' starting first baseman, fought off a challenge from Ronald Guzman in spring training. Rangers manager Chris Woodward stood by Lowe, who batted a mere .205 and struck out 15 times in 44 at-bats, and the manager's faith was rewarded Opening Day. Lowe slotted in at fifth in the batting order, a potentially good spot for RBI opportunities.

Wins starting role
Lowe was named the Rangers' starting first baseman Saturday, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Lowe's top competitor, Ronald Guzman, has also made the team, but he isn't expected to play regularly at first base. Lowe could potentially thrive with regular at-bats, something he wasn't able to earn in the past two seasons with the Rays. His .215/.322/.447 slash line through his first 71 big-league games is decent, though his 31.8 percent strikeout rate is high for a player who's only shown modest power.

Breaks out Saturday
Lowe went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's spring game against Seattle.
Impact
Lowe entered Saturday's game batting just .160 this spring, which has opened the door to Ronald Guzman usurping the starting first base job that was seen as Lowe's to lose when spring training started. Texas manager Chris Woodward still believes in Lowe, telling Kennedi Landry of MLB.com he has confidence in him. "I know he hasn't had a ton of results, but it's just the way this guy works and carries himself. I felt it was kind of a matter of time," Woodward said. "It's nice to see him get some results today." As for Guzman, he launched his third spring home run Friday and has a 1.203 OPS compared to Lowe's .687.

Hitless Sunday
Lowe started at first base and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Sunday's spring game against the Dodgers.
Impact
Lowe is the presumed starter at first base after the Rangers acquired him from Tampa Bay during the offseason, but he's fallen behind Ronald Guzman in terms of spring production. Lowe is 1-for-9 (hitless in last eight ABs) with five strikeouts, while Guzman is 4-for-7 with two home runs, two RBI and two walks. Kennedi Landry of MLB.com has gone as far as projecting Guzman as the Opening Day starter at first base.
