Signs minors deal with Philadelphia The Phillies signed Crismatt to a minor-league contract on Dec. 13.
Impact Crismatt, 30, spent most of the 2024 season at the Triple-A level in three different organizations, compiling a 5.81 ERA and 75:28 K:BB over 79 innings. He's collected a 3.71 ERA and 162:54 K:BB over 177 innings covering parts of five seasons in the big leagues.
DECEMBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Gets minor-league deal from Texas The Rangers signed Crismatt to a minor-league contract Wednesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Crismatt elected free agency after declining an outright assignment by the Dodgers last week, and he's now found a new home. The right-hander holds a 2.57 ERA and 6:0 K:BB over seven innings in the majors this season and will be assigned to Triple-A Round Rock.
MAY 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
DFA'd by Dodgers The Dodgers designated Crismatt for assignment Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Impact Crismatt was added to the active roster April 27 and has since given up two earned runs through five innings across four appearances. The Dodgers are in need of fresh bullpen arms for Wednesday's game against San Francisco, so they will cast the 29-year-old right-hander off the 40-man for the second time this year and select Elieser Hernandez from Triple-A Oklahoma City to replace Crismatt.
MAY 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up win in Dodgers debut Crismatt (1-0) earned the win in relief against the Cardinals on Sunday, allowing one hit while striking out three batters over two scoreless innings.
Impact Crismatt signed a minor-league deal with Los Angeles in the offseason and had his contract selected Sunday morning. The veteran reliever had a successful first outing with his new team, throwing 22 of 29 pitches for strikes over the seventh and eighth frames as the Dodgers offense worked to erase a two-run deficit. Crismatt struggled with San Diego and Arizona last season and finished with an 8.31 ERA over 13 innings, but he performed well the year prior and could stick in Los Angeles' bullpen if he can build off his excellent first impression.
APRIL 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Added to major-league roster Crismatt was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Cardinals, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Impact Crismatt will join the Dodgers' bullpen as they look to take three out of four against St. Louis at home. The right-hander appeared in eight major-league contests last season with the Padres and Diamondbacks, producing a disappointing 8.31 ERA with 12 strikeouts over 13 innings. In a corresponding move, Kyle Hurt was sent down to Oklahoma City.
MARCH 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Outrighted to Reno The Diamondbacks sent Crismatt outright to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Impact Crismatt was pushed off the D-backs- 40-man roster Sunday in favor of Ryan Thompson, and he'll officially remain in Arizona's farm system after clearing waivers. The 28-year-old reliever has put up a 6.94 ERA and 1.54 WHIP through 36.1 innings in Triple-A and likely won't make it back to the majors this season.
AUGUST 29, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Pushed off 40-man roster The Diamondbacks designated Crismatt for assignment Sunday.
Impact Crismatt will cede his spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster to right-hander Ryan Thompson, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move. After getting called up from Reno just over a week ago, Crismatt took the loss in his lone appearance for Arizona on Saturday against the Reds, giving up an unearned run while striking out three over two innings out of the bullpen.
AUGUST 27, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Contract selected by Arizona Crismatt had his contract selected from Triple-A Reno by the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Impact Crismatt will join the major-league roster ahead of Game 2 of their doubleheader with the Padres on Saturday. The right-hander has not appeared in a contest with Arizona since being signed to a minor-league contract Aug. 9, but coincidentally, he's produced a 9.82 ERA over 11 innings in seven appearances with San Diego in 2023. In order to make space for Crismatt in big leagues, Tyler Gilbert was optioned to Triple-A while a 40-man roster spot was created by Tommy Henry (elbow) being shifted to the 60-day injured list.
AUGUST 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Back with Diamondbacks Crismatt re-signed with the Diamondbacks on a minor-league contract Tuesday.
Impact Crismatt was just released from his minor-league pact with Arizona, but it might have been an opt-out situation, as he's now back with the club presumably on a re-worked deal. The reliever has collected an 8.24 ERA in eight appearances with Triple-A Reno.
AUGUST 9, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Brief time in Arizona ends The Diamondbacks released Crismatt on Wednesday.
Impact After being moved off the Padres' 40-man roster in late June, Crismatt quickly caught on with the Diamondbacks on a minor-league deal. He's now in search of a new organization, however, as he spent just one month with the Diamondbacks' top affiliate in Reno before getting cut loose. Over seven appearances at Reno, Crismatt compiled an 8.04 ERA and 1.66 WHIP across 15.2 innings.
AUGUST 8, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Becomes free agent Crismatt cleared waivers and elected free agency Sunday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact Crismatt was designated for assignment by the Padres on Tuesday, and he'll hit free agency rather than heading to one of the team's minor-league affiliates. Over seven major-league appearances this year, he's posted a 9.82 ERA and 2.18 WHIP in 11 innings.
JUNE 26, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Designated for assignment Crismatt was designated for assignment by the Padres on Tuesday.
Impact Crismatt had allowed 12 earned runs through 11 innings of work this season out of the Padres' bullpen. The 28-year-old registered a 2.94 ERA across 67.1 innings for San Diego in 2022 and should draw some interest on waivers.
JUNE 20, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Activated from injured list San Diego activated Crismatt (hip) from the 15-day injured list Friday.
Impact Crismatt is finally recovered from the left hip strain that sent him to the IL in April. He was struggling before the injury and did not pitch particularly well on his minor-league rehab assignment, but the Padres need fresh bullpen arms.
JUNE 16, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Slated for third rehab outing Crismatt (hip) will make another rehab appearance with Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, per MLB.com.
Impact Crismatt has already made two appearances with the Triple-A club, giving up one run on three hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 3.1 innings. It's unclear how long the Padres intend for him to rehab with the minor-league team, though it stands to reason that he should be ready to return to the majors soon. Crismatt last pitched for the Padres on April 18 against Atlanta.
MAY 21, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Cleared for rehab assignment Crismatt (hip) is beginning a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A El Paso, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact Crismatt has been out for nearly four weeks because of a left hip strain, so he'll probably have to log at least a few outings on the farm before becoming an option again for the Padres' bullpen. He was showing a rough 10.80 ERA through six appearances with San Diego prior to the injury.
MAY 16, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Could begin rehab assignment soon Crismatt (hip) has been throwing bullpens and could soon begin a minor-league rehab assignment, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact Crismatt has been sidelined with a left hip strain since mid-April. The length of his absence will apparently necessitate a rehab stint, though the right-hander's role as a middle reliever may mean that such an assignment won't be lengthy. Crismatt had been struggling before being placed on the IL, allowing six runs on seven hits and three walks over 4.2 innings across his previous two outings.
MAY 13, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Throwing, but not from mound Crismatt (hip) has resumed throwing but hasn't yet returned to the mound, per MLB.com.
Impact Crismatt has been out of action since mid-April due to a left hip strain. He's been doing some throwing at the Padres' training facility in Arizona, but given that he hasn't yet been able to resume mound work, his return timeline appears uncertain.
MAY 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Further evaluation coming Crismatt received a cortisone injection in his left hip this weekend and is set to be evaluated in a few days, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact Crismatt went on the 15-day IL on April 19 due a left hip strain after struggling in his first 10 innings this season, posting a 10.80 ERA and 2.20 WHIP. The righty reliever was much better in 2022, recording a 2.94 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 65:22 K:BB across 67.1 frames. The results of his upcoming evaluation will determine his next steps toward a return.
APRIL 24, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Sidelined with hip injury The Padres placed Crismatt on the 15-day injured list prior to Wednesday's game against Atlanta with a left hip strain.
Impact San Diego called up lefty Ray Kerr from Triple-A El Paso to fill Crismatt's spot in the bullpen. Crismatt has mostly worked in lower-leverage spots this season, submitting a 10.80 ERA and 2.20 WHIP across 10 innings through his first six relief appearances.

Impact Crismatt also started a game for Colombia in the World Baseball Classic, and he allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out four batters in that contest. The righty reliever is expected to fill a long-relief role for the Padres this season. He could also work as a spot starter if the need arises.

Not on wild-card roster Crismatt is not on the Padres' 26-man wild-card roster.
Impact Crismatt was called up from Triple-A El Paso to pitch as a part of Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Giants, pitching four innings while allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts. He will not be included on the initial postseason roster, though his 2.94 ERA and 1.17 WHIP over 67.1 innings this year could garner him a shot if the team advances to the next round of the playoffs.

Giants finish at .500 for 1st time, top playoff-bound Padres

David Villar hit two home runs and Austin Slater also connected for the San Francisco Giants, who beat the playoff-bound San Diego Padres 8-1 in a regular-season finale

Back with big club The Padres recalled Crismatt from Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday.
Impact Crismatt will be joining the 28-man active roster as a replacement for Mike Clevinger (illness), who was scheduled to start Wednesday's regular-season finale versus the Giants before his surprise placement on the injured list. Craig Stammen is now scheduled to start Wednesday, but he's unlikely to work much longer than two innings before turning the game over to the bullpen. Crismatt could be one of multiple relievers who sees work once Stammen exits.
