Submits quality start Tuesday
Bratt allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Tuesday.
Impact
Bratt cruised until giving up a game-tying home run to Kyle Karros in the sixth inning. He's allowed just three runs over his last 18 innings while adding a 15:8 K:BB in that span. Bratt won the battle to stay in the rotation even after Michael Soroka returned from a glute injury, and with none of Arizona's other starting pitchers on the injured list expected back before September, Bratt is poised for a few more turns through the rotation. The 23-year-old has logged a 3.74 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 25:19 K:BB through 33.2 innings over his first seven starts in the majors. He's tentatively lined up to make his next start on the road in Boston.

Shines in first win
Bratt (1-1) allowed one hit and three walks while striking out nine over seven scoreless innings to earn the win over the Padres on Wednesday.
Impact
This was Bratt's longest start yet, and while he walked multiple batters for the third start in a row, he made up for it by giving the Padres little to hit. The nine strikeouts matched his total from his previous three outings combined. Bratt's performance early in his big-league career has been acceptable -- he has a 3.90 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 21:18 K:BB through 27.2 innings over six starts, but he will need to cut down on the walks to find long-term success. The 23-year-old rookie is tentatively lined up to make his next start at home versus the Rockies. Bratt is likely competing with Kohl Drake for the last spot in the rotation when Michael Soroka (glute) returns from the injured list.

Solid outing in no-decision
Bratt did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-1 win over the Guardians, allowing one run on three hits and four walks with two strikeouts over five innings.
Impact
Bratt allowed a run in the first inning but rebounded with four scoreless frames, throwing 50 of 82 pitches for strikes with just five whiffs while allowing five hard-hit balls. It was the 23-year-old's best major-league start in five outings, though he owns an unappealing 12:15 K:BB during that stretch. He'll take a 5.23 ERA and 1.84 WHIP across 20.2 innings with the Diamondbacks into a home matchup with the Padres next week.

Saddled with first big-league loss
Bratt (0-1) took the loss Saturday, surrendering five runs on seven hits and five walks over five innings as the Diamondbacks fell 5-3 to the Nationals. He struck out three.
Impact
The 23-year-old southpaw had trouble finding the plate in his fourth career MLB start, tossing 55 of 92 pitches for strikes, and when Bratt did get the ball into the strike zone he paid for it -- four of the seven hits off him went for extra bases, including a solo homer in the fifth inning by CJ Abrams. Through his first 15.2 innings for Arizona, Bratt carries a 6.32 ERA, 1.98 WHIP and 10:11 K:BB, but with none of the team's injured starters expected back until August, he may stick in the rotation for another turn or two. He's set to make his next start on the road next weekend in Cleveland.

Gives up two solo shots
Bratt allowed two runs on eight hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out four over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Monday.
Impact
This was the longest of Bratt's three starts in the majors so far. He allowed a pair of solo home runs and no additional extra-base hits. The southpaw has a 5.06 ERA and 7:6 K:BB through his first 10.2 innings in the majors, so he has some work to do before he can be trusted in fantasy. Bratt is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road versus the Nationals.

Handed another start
Bratt is listed as the Diamondbacks' starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Athletics at Chase Field.
Impact
Bratt will get a second turn through the Arizona rotation, despite being chased from his previous start July 12 in Los Angeles after the Dodgers knocked him around for three runs on three hits and three walks over three innings. The 23-year-old southpaw could be in line for an extended run in the Arizona rotation after Zac Gallen (elbow) was recently moved to the injured list.

Lasts three innings Sunday
Bratt did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks over three innings against the Dodgers. He did not record a strikeout.
Impact
Bratt was greeted by a Shohei Ohtani leadoff homer in the first inning before surrendering two more runs on a Tommy Edman single in the third frame. The rookie southpaw was lifted after throwing 58 pitches, only 29 of which were strikes, as he struggled to find the strike zone consistently. Through his first two big-league appearances, Bratt has allowed four runs on five hits with a 3:5 K:BB across six innings. It remains to be seen whether the 23-year-old will receive an extended opportunity in the starting rotation after the All-Star break with Zac Gallen (elbow) on the injured list.

Called up for Sunday's start
The Diamondbacks recalled Bratt from Triple-A Reno to start Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
Impact
The left-hander is coming up to start in place of Zac Gallen (elbow), who was placed on the injured list Sunday. Bratt made his major-league debut versus the Cardinals in late June and allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts and two walks over three innings. The 23-year-old has been an effective rotation piece at Triple-A this year with a 2.41 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 51:14 K:BB across 52.1 innings, and another quality showing Sunday could help him secure a longer look in the rotation.

Poised for big-league start Sunday
Bratt will likely be recalled by the Diamondbacks from Triple-A Reno to start in Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Impact
Bratt is with the team in Los Angeles and is set to make his second major-league start of his career after Zac Gallen was scratched due to right elbow inflammation. Bratt made his major-league debut against the Cardinals on June 24, when he allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out three across three innings in a no-decision. Gallen is expected to be placed on the 15-day injured list, so a strong start Sunday could earn Bratt multiple turns in the Diamondbacks' rotation. Bratt sports a 2.41 ERA and 0.96 WHIP across 52.1 innings in Triple-A this season (13 starts).
