Louis Varland - Move to bullpen going well Varland allowed one walk while striking out one over a scoreless inning Thursday against the Royals.
Impact Varland moved to the bullpen this spring and the returns have been encouraging so far as he has a 3.86 ERA and 10:3 K:BB ratio in seven innings. He could be used in higher-leverage spots if he continues his early success.

Guardians vs. Royals Prediction, Odds, Picks - April 11
Carlos Estévez - Picks up fourth save Estevez earned the save in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Twins, allowing a hit while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.
Impact Estevez found himself in trouble, allowing a one-out single before hitting Harrison Bader with a pitch to put the tying and go-ahead runs on base. However, the right-hander would strike out Matt Wallner before inducing a groundout from Willi Castro to seal the Royals' one-run victory. While it hasn't always come easily, Estevez has converted four of Kansas City's five save chances this year while allowing one earned run on three hits and four walks in his first six innings.

Bailey Ober - Logs quality start Ober didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Royals, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.
Impact After allowing a run on three hits in the first inning, Ober settled in to blank Kansas City over his final five frames. While the Twins' bullpen failed to hang on to a one-run lead, it was certainly an encouraging outing for Ober, who was tagged for nine runs over just 6.2 innings in his first two starts this year. The 29-year-old right-hander will look to build on Thursday's outing in his next start, currently slated for next week against the Mets.
