Harold Castro - Leads offense Wednesday Castro went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Twins.
Impact While he doesn't have a regular position, Castro has been playing fairly often lately, and his bat keeps making that a smart call. He's now batting .315 this season, and considering he batted .283 or better each of the past four years, his current rate seems sustainable. Castro doesn't offer a ton of power or speed, but he should have some fantasy value as long as the playing time is there.

Tarik Skubal - Dazzles in win Wednesday Skubal (4-2) tossed seven scoreless innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Twins. He allowed two hits and a walk, while striking out six.
Impact The 20-30 Tigers aren't garnering a lot of buzz, but Skubal is certainly worthy of attention at the moment. The lefty now has a sparkling 2.15 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 61 strikeouts across 58.2 innings. Skubal showed signs of a breakout last season, especially with his 164 strikeouts across 149.1 innings, but the 25-year-old has taken it to another level in 2022. He'll look to keep it rolling in his next scheduled start Tuesday against the Pirates.

Sonny Gray - Plays catch, status uncertain Gray's pectoral soreness has improved and he played catch Wednesday, but manager Rocco Baldelli said the right-hander could still end up on the injured list, Betsy Helfand of the S...
Impact Gray's progress since exiting Sunday's start indicates the injury isn't a serious concern, but the Twins may need to free up a roster spot given there's still some question marks with his availability a few days later. The 32-year-old may avoid the injured list if he shows significant improvement over the next couple days; however, Baldelli also said Minnesota "may end up having to make a decision that we don't really want to make in order to function better as a team."

Joey Wentz - Getting medical checkup Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Wednesday that Wentz will undergo further testing on his injured shoulder, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Impact The Tigers classified Wentz's injury as a left shoulder strain when he exited his start in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Twins after tossing four scoreless frames, but the upcoming checkup should provide more information with regard to a possible recovery timeline for the 24-year-old. Detroit had already optioned Wentz to Triple-A Toledo following Tuesday's outing, so he could be placed on the affiliate's 7-day injured list in the coming days.
