Impact Buxton had an up-and-down performance Thursday, finishing the contest with a pair of walks, a pair of strikeouts and a game-tying solo home run in the eighth inning. The long ball marked Buxton's eighth in 29 games, while the 29-year-old holds a .262/.350/.570 slash line on the year. As long as Buxton stays healthy, which is a tall task considering he has played over 100 games just once in his nine MLB seasons, he should produce big numbers for fantasy managers who were willing to take the risk.

Eloy Jiménez - Productive in extra-inning loss Jimenez went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's loss to the Twins.

Impact Jimenez was the lone source of offense for the White Sox on Thursday, driving in all three of the team's runs and smacking his fourth home run on the season. However, his efforts were not enough for a win, as Byron Buxton tied the game at two in the eighth with a solo homer while Minnesota's five-run 12th inning proved to be too much for Chicago to overcome. Despite the hefty deficit, Jimenez attempted to spark a comeback, hitting a single to lead off the bottom of the 12th that scored designated runner Billy Hamilton, but a double-play and a strikeout quickly ended any hopes of a rally. Through 24 games, Jimenez holds a .258/.324/.430 slash line.

Pablo López - Gives up two in no-decision Lopez did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings against the White Sox. He struck out eight.

Impact Lopez bounced back from a pair of rocky starts, giving up 11 runs on 16 hits over his last two outings (10.0 innings) by tossing seven innings of two-run ball. Lopez's only blemish on the day was a two-run homer by Eloy Jimenez that plated Seby Zavala in the third inning. Through 43.0 innings, Lopez holds a 3.77 ERA to pair with an 11.3 K/9 and remains a strong fantasy option as the Twins' third arm.

Impact Lopez had been dealing with bicep fatigue since exiting Sunday's outing due to the issue but was cleared for action Thursday and ended up toeing the rubber in the eighth inning. Though Lopez allowed just one hit in his only frame of work, it was a costly one, as Byron Buxton hit a solo home run to equalize the score at two. The 29-year-old has been off to a poor start to 2023, holding an 8.78 ERA to pair with an 0-2 record while converting on just three of seven save attempts. The only saving grace for Lopez has been his strikeout ability, fanning 20 in 13.1 innings. With Liam Hendriks (illness) on the 15-day injured list, Lopez could still see some opportunities moving forward, though Kenyan Middleton could push him for temporary closing duties given Lopez's struggles.

Lucas Giolito - Strong outing spoiled Giolito did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over seven innings against Minnesota. He struck out seven.

Impact Giolito tossed a gem Thursday, allowing just two hits over seven frames. His only blemish came from a Carlos Correa solo home run in the sixth inning, which broke a streak of 13 consecutive batters retired for Giolito. Though he handed the ball off to Reynaldo Lopez with a 2-1 lead in the eighth, Byron Buxton evened up the score with a solo homer of his own, which ultimately led to Giolito's no-decision and a White Sox defeat in extra innings. Through seven starts Giolito holds a measly 1-2 record, however, he has put up solid numbers with a 3.67 ERA and a 41:9 K/BB in 41.2 innings.
