Impact The veteran right-hander continued his reliable ways Thursday, logging his third straight quality start and eighth in his last nine. Wacha has been a stabilizing presence in Kansas City's banged-up rotation, surrendering more than four runs on just three occasions in 28 starts. He'll carry a solid 3.36 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 143:44 K:BB over 176.2 innings into his next scheduled outing versus Arizona.

Impact Wacha was dominant, throwing 75 of 103 pitches for strikes with 16 whiffs without allowing an extra-base hit. Impact Wacha recorded his tenth start allowing one or fewer earned runs this season Saturday. The 35-year-old made just one mistake after allowing a solo home run to Hao Yu-Lee in the fifth inning. On the campaign, Wacha now owns a 3.49 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 126:42 K:BB in 162.2 innings.

Hurt by long ball in sixth win Wacha (6-8) earned the win against the Athletics on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out three.
Impact Wacha had trouble keeping the ball in the yard Monday, serving up a season-high-tying three home runs. The veteran right-hander remains a mostly dependable member of Kansas City's rotation, pitching at least five innings in all but one of his 25 starts on the year while giving up more than four runs just three times. Wacha will bring a steady 3.58 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 120:41 K:BB over 155.2 innings into his next scheduled outing against the Tigers.

Turns in quality start Wacha allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Impact Wacha put together a quality start for the fourth time in five starts since the All-Star break. In that span, he's allowed 10 runs (eight earned) over 31.1 innings. Wacha remains effective at eating innings -- he's covered six or more frames in 18 of his 24 starts this season while pitching to a 3.46 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 117:41 K:BB through 150.2 innings overall. The veteran's next start is projected to come at home versus the Athletics.

Just misses quality start Wacha tossed 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Minnesota on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks while striking out one batter.
Impact Wacha pitched well, giving up just one run on a Royce Lewis homer. The veteran hurler looked like he was on his way to a fourth straight quality start, but manager Matt Quatraro elected to pull him with two outs in the sixth inning (at 94 pitches) with Lewis coming up for another turn at the plate. Wacha did make it four straight outings with two or fewer earned runs, and he's lowered his season ERA to 3.44 with the effective stretch. He lines up for a tough next start in what's projected to be a road matchup versus the Dodgers.

Tough-luck loss in Colorado Wacha (5-8) took the loss against the Rockies on Friday, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out seven across six innings.
Impact The only earned run Wacha gave up was on an RBI single in the first inning, with the other two runs in the fourth being credited as unearned due to a throwing error by Michael Massey. Wacha kept Colorado in check for most of Friday's outing but still got hit with the loss as his Kansas City teammates mustered only one run. Even so, the veteran right-hander has logged quality starts in each of his four outings since the All-Star break and is up to 15 on the season, which is tied for second-most in the majors behind Sandy Alcantara (16). Wacha will take a 3.51 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 138.1 innings into his next start, which is lined up for next week at home against the Twins.

Settles for no-decision Saturday Wacha didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Tigers, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out three.
Impact The veteran right-hander tossed 96 pitches (66 strikes) en route to his 14th quality start of the season, but Wacha left the mound with the score tied 2-2 and missed out on his sixth win. Wacha has worked at least six innings in seven of his last eight outings dating back to June 11, posting a 3.86 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB over 51.1 innings during that stretch. He'll look for his first win since June 22 in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Colorado.
