Impact Baumann made his second consecutive turn through the rotation and was limited to 74 pitches as a result. Both of the earned runs against him came in the fourth inning, when he allowed two doubles and a single. Baumann will likely get a final start prior to the close of the regular season, and he's allowed a combined four earned runs with a 4:2 K:BB across his last two starts -- spanning eight innings.

He's remained a reliever in the minors, where he's struggled to a 7.71 ERA across 16.1 frames. That suggests he could continue to pitch out of the pen going forward even though it's starter Bruce Zimmermann who he'll be replacing on the active roster.

Felix Bautista allowed one of them to score on a bases-loaded walk before escaping the jam, but the Orioles' offense couldn't get Baumann off the hook. He's allowed runs in each of his last three appearances. The 26-year-old has a 6.35 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 6:4 K:BB in 5.2 innings, but he could still be an option to join the rotation after Chris Ellis (shoulder) exited Sunday's game in the first inning.

He'll continue to serve as a multi-inning option to pair with the Orioles' starters that haven't built up their pitch counts as much early in the season.
