Impact Cooper suffered a left wrist contusion Sunday and was originally absent from Monday's lineup, but he'll instead have a prime spot in Miami's order. Avisail Garcia will take a seat on the bench with Cooper joining the starting nine.

Impact Garcia was originally slated to bat cleanup as the designated hitter, but Garrett Cooper (wrist) will instead serve as Miami's designated hitter. There's been no announcement of an injury, so it could just be an early day off for Garcia, who is 2-for-13 through the first three games of the season.

Heliot Ramos - Not starting Monday Ramos isn't starting Monday's game against the Padres, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.

Impact Ramos served as a starter during his major-league debut Sunday against the Marlins and went 2-for-3 with a run and a strikeout. However, he'll get a breather in Monday's series opener while Joc Pederson, Steven Duggar and Mike Yastrzemski start in the outfield from left to right.

Wilmer Flores - Not in Monday's lineup Flores is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Impact Flores started twice at third base and once at designated hitter through the first three games of the season, and he'll be the odd man out Monday. He's 1-for-10 with a double, an RBI and a walk and should continue to have a regular role in the lineup with Tommy La Stella (Achilles) and Evan Longoria (finger) on the injured list.
