Nick Fortes - Productive in win Fortes went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a stolen base in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Angels.

Impact Fortes came up a triple shy of the cycle while logging his first three-hit effort of the season. The catcher has done well lately, going 12-for-33 (.364) over his last nine contests. Fortes is up to three homers, nine RBI, nine runs scored and three steals while slashing .243/.283/.336 through 113 plate appearances. He's still Miami's primary catcher over Jacob Stallings.

JT Chargois - Collects first save Chargois allowed two hits and a walk in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Angels.

Impact Regular closer Dylan Floro had pitched three straight days and was likely unavailable Sunday, while Tanner Scott recorded four outs for a hold against the middle of the Angels' order. Chargois looked far from dominant, but a double play helped him out, and he got Mike Trout to pop up with two runners in scoring position to end the game. Chargois had allowed three runs over his previous 2.2 innings. He's at a 2.79 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB through 9.2 innings over 11 appearances, and he's added two holds in addition to his first save of the year. Chargois is unlikely to be in the long-term picture for saves.

Eury Pérez - Throws five shutout innings Perez (2-1) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out three over five shutout innings to earn the win over the Angels on Sunday.

Impact Perez's four walks were a blemish, but he kept runs off the board for the first time in his four career starts. There's still room for growth with his command at the big-league level -- he has issued 10 walks in 19 innings so far, though he's also racked up 19 strikeouts. The 20-year-old also has decent ratios with a 2.84 ERA and 1.21 WHIP, so he's a safe distance away from looking overmatched. He's projected for a favorable home start versus Oakland his next time out.

Patrick Sandoval - Bounces back but takes loss Sandoval (3-4) took the loss Sunday versus the Marlins, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings.

Impact Sandoval was able to complete six frames for the fifth time in 10 starts, but a lack of run support sent him to his third straight loss. This was his fourth quality start of the season and the second to come in a loss. Sandoval now has a 3.42 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 36:22 K:BB through 55.1 innings. He hasn't struck out more than five batters in any of his last seven appearances. His next start is expected to be a challenging road matchup with the Astros.
