Impact Puk continues to work his way back from nerve irritation in his left elbow. If things continues to progress well for the southpaw, he could be back as Miami's closer around the start of June, but he also may need a rehab assignment before he's ready to return to MLB action.

Huascar Brazoban - Takes first loss Brazoban (0-1) took the loss Thursday against the Rockies. He allowed a run on a hit and three walks while over one-third of an inning.
Impact After the Marlins scored four runs in the top of the ninth to tie the game 6-6, Brazoban walked three of the first four batters he faced in the bottom half before Ezequiel Tovar ended the game with a walk-off base hit. It's been a struggle for Brazoban recently -- he's allowed at least one run in each of his last four appearances, allowing seven earned runs on nine hits over 3.1 innings in that span. Garrett Cooper - Ties game with pinch-hit homer Cooper went 1-for-1 with a two-run homer in Thursday's loss to the Rockies.
Impact Cooper started the day on the bench after going 2-for-26 in his last six games. However, he'd pinch-hit for Nick Fortes with two outs in the ninth and blasted a two-run, game-tying home run off Pierce Johnson. It's Cooper's fifth homer of the season and just his second since April 9. He's now slashing .239/.280/.403 with 19 RBI through 143 plate appearances this year.
