Jesús Sánchez - Homers in win Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-1 victory over the Royals.
Impact Sanchez led off the fifth inning with a solo home run off Zack Greinke, giving the Marlins a 1-0 lead. It's Sanchez's fifth homer of the season and his second in five games. The 25-year-old outfielder is slashing a solid .287/.362/.543 with 13 RBI and 12 runs scored through 105 plate appearances this season.
JUNE 7, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Jesus Luzardo - Dominant in fifth win Luzardo (5-4) earned the win Tuesday, allowing a run on two hits over seven innings against the Royals. He struck out eight.
Impact Luzardo has logged at least seven strikeouts in each of his last five starts. The 25-year-old southpaw allowed just one hit through his first five innings before Nick Pratto led off the sixth with a double and eventually scored the Royals' lone run. Luzardo lowered his ERA to 3.79 with a 1.25 WHIP and 86:20 K:BB through 13 starts (73.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up to face the Mariners o the road in his next outing.

George Soriano - Optioned to Jacksonville The Marlins optioned Soriano to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact Just four days after being promoted, Soriano will return to Triple-A. The 24-year-old reliver made one appearance in his latest stint -- a three-inning, 61-pitch performance in which he gave up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out three. A.J. Puk (elbow) will return from the injured list as Soriano's replacement.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
A.J. Puk - Activated from injured list Miami activated Puk (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact Puk will return to the Marlins' bullpen Tuesday night against the Royals after missing a little over three weeks due to a mid-May diagnosis of left elbow nerve irritation. He had been operating as Miami's primary closer prior to the IL stint and should eventually recapture a share of that role, though Dylan Floro probably remains worthy of rostering in most fantasy leagues as the situation unfolds.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Yuli Gurriel - Not starting Tuesday Gurriel isn't in the Marlins' lineup Tuesday against the Royals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact After breaking a brief three-game hitting streak Monday against the Royals, Gurriel will get a breather Tuesday. Garrett Cooper will fill in at first base and bat fourth.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Jorge Soler - Back in lineup Soler (thumb) will serve as Miami's designated hitter and bat second Tuesday against the Royals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact A sore thumb kept Soler out of Monday's contest, but one game will be all the 31-year-old slugger misses. Soler is in a bit of a slump at the plate lately, slashing just .158/.304/.211 over the past seven days.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Jazz Chisholm Jr. - Plays catch Tuesday Chisholm (toe) played catch on the field Tuesday in Miami, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
Impact It appears that Chisholm has finally been cleared for at least some degree of baseball activity, three weeks after landing on the injured list because of turf toe in his right foot. He has a checkup with a foot specialist Wednesday that should yield a better overall picture of his recovery timetable. The initial estimate was that Chisholm would be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks, and he is currently tracking within that range.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Joey Wendle - Double, two hits in win Wendle went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Royals.
Impact Wendle is starting to come around after a dreadful start to the year-- he's gone 7-for-15 (.467) with four doubles in five games to start June. Despite his early-season struggles, Miami has stuck with Wendle as their primary starting shortstop. He's now slashing .235/.316/.382 with five RBI and nine runs scored through 78 plate appearances.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Nick Fortes - Two hits Monday Fortes went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Monday's win over the Royals.
Impact Fortes is now 12-for-38 (.342) with a .917 OPS in his last 12 games while seeing the majority of reps behind the plate in Miami. While he doesn't offer a ton of power (three home runs), Fortes could be a viable catching option in deeper leagues. He's slashing .250/.302/.333 with 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and three stolen bases through 129 plate appearances this season.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Trevor Rogers - Making another rehab start Rogers (biceps) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville this weekend, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact Rogers threw 70 pitches over five scoreless frames Sunday with Jacksonville, but the Marlins will ask him to make one more rehab appearance in order to get a little more stretched out. The goal is for the left-hander to throw six innings this weekend before rejoining the rotation next week.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Andrew Nardi - Collects fourth hold Nardi struck out two in 1.1 perfect innings of relief Monday to record his fourth hold of the season in a win over the Royals.
Impact The 24-year-old southpaw is quietly having a breakout campaign in the Miami bullpen. Nardi hasn't given up an earned run since the beginning of May, a stretch that features an 18:4 K:BB through 14.2 innings. All four of his holds have come in his last 10 appearances, but his climb toward higher-leverage work has also coincided with an injured list stint for A.J. Puk (elbow). With Tanner Scott and Steven Okert also ahead of Nardi on the depth chart from the left side, it could be tough for him to maintain any fantasy value. That could also make him an intriguing trade chip later in the summer, however.

Jon Berti - Triples in win Berti went 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Monday's victory over the Royals.
Impact Berti tied the game 4-4 in the fourth inning with a two-run triple, his first three-bagger of the year. He'd been struggling coming into Monday's contest, going 4-for-24 (.167) over his last nine games while playing a utility role in Miami. The 33-year-old Berti is still slashing a solid .277/.327/.319 with two homers, 24 runs scored, 12 RBI and seven stolen bases through 186 plate appearances this season.
JUNE 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Luis Arraez - Picks up three more hits Arraez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 9-6 victory over Kansas City.
Impact Arraez is now 10-for-13 over his last three games and 15-for-27 (.556) in his previous seven, boosting his league-leading average to .399 -- 33 points higher than Bo Bichette, who's second with a .333 mark. The 26-year-old Arraez is having a historic debut season in Miami. His OPS is up to .945 with one homer, 29 RBI and 22 runs scored across 231 plate appearances.

Bryan De La Cruz - Homers Monday De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer scored in Monday's 9-6 victory over the Royals.
Impact De La Cruz is up to eight homers this season, with three coming in his last 10 games. The 26-year-old outfielder has been hot for over a month now -- he's batting .342 since the start of May. Overall, De La Cruz is slashing .300/.351/.464 with 28 RBI, 29 runs scored and three stolen bases through 228 plate appearances this season.
