Tosses CG against Miami
Scherzer (2-2) allowed one run on five hits and no walks while striking out nine in nine innings to earn the win against the Marlins on Sunday.
Impact
Scherzer bounced back in a significant way by tossing his first complete game of the season after he gave up seven runs (five earned) in his last appearance. The right-hander has posted a 2.54 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 47:6 K:BB in 39 innings across his first six starts of the year, but he's been somewhat unlucky with only two wins during that time. Scherzer tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against the Yankees on Saturday.

Takes loss against Toronto
Scherzer (1-2) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Blue Jays after giving up seven runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks while fanning five across five innings.
Impact
Scherzer had his worst outing of the season by a wide margin and served two homers, both against Vladimir Guerrero -- who had a historic night with three long balls and seven RBI. The veteran right-hander still owns a 3.00 ERA, which speaks volumes of his dominant start to the season, but he'll attempt to put this one behind him as soon as possible -- his next start is scheduled for next week at home against the Braves.
