Impact Wisler has made just a single major-league appearances since Aug. 15, as he returned from a trip to the injured list for middle finger inflammation in early September only to head right back to the injured list. He's evidently feeling better now and will have a few days to prove to the Rays that he's healthy and effective enough for a spot on the playoff roster. Ryan Sherriff was optioned to clear a spot in the bullpen.
