Headed to bullpen
Harvey will move into the bullpen going forward, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.
Impact
Harvey has turned things around during his last two appearances after struggling mightily to begin the season, but he'll transition to the bullpen with Carlos Hernandez (abdomen) starting for the Royals on Saturday. It's unclear whether the Royals will continue to utilize a six-man rotation or if they'll use five starters for the remainder of the season. Harvey carries an 11.70 ERA and 2.70 WHIP over 10 innings during five appearances (four starts) this year.

Surrenders one earned run
Harvey (0-3) allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks while striking out two across 2.1 innings to take the loss Sunday against the White Sox.
Impact
Harvey improved upon his last start as he kept the ball in the yard and also managed to rack up 10 called strikes and three swinging strikes across 40 total pitches. It remains to be seen whether Harvey will stick in the rotation, as the team has been utilizing six starters. He hasn't earned a significant role with his performance to this point, compiling a 11.70 ERA with an 8:5 K:BB across 10 innings.

Crushed by Cleveland
Harvey (0-2) allowed five earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out none across 1.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday against Cleveland.
Impact
Harvey surrendered three home runs in his brief outing, with two of the first five hitters he faced taking him yard. Though 11 batters came to the plate, Harvey managed just four outs before being yanked from the contest. The team's plans for Harvey going forward remain unclear -- particularly after this performance -- though if he got another start it would likely come Monday in a rematch against Cleveland.

Getting at least one more start
Harvey will remain in the rotation for at least one more start and will take the hill Tuesday against Cleveland, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.
Impact
The veteran showed no signs of reversing his long decline through his first two starts for his new team, allowing seven runs on nine hits in just 5.2 innings of work. The Royals will go with a six-man rotation for long, but they have little incentive to give Harvey too many more chances.

ROTOWIRE
Fails to complete three innings
Harvey allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Impact
This was an ugly outing and manager Mike Matheny had a quick hook, lifting Harvey after 54 pitches. That decision to lift Harvey early paid off as six relievers combined to shut the Cardinals out the rest of the way in Kansas City's comeback win. Harvey now has an 11.12 ERA and may be headed to the bullpen (or off the roster) with Jakob Junis (back) slated to return to the rotation Wednesday.

ROTOWIRE
Gets another start
Harvey is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday against the Cardinals in St. Louis, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.
Impact
Kansas City will grant Harvey another turn through the rotation despite his underwhelming showing in his team debut versus the Reds last week, when he threw 33 of his 54 pitches for strikes and was charged with three runs on four hits and two walks over three innings. He should be able to work a little deeper Tuesday if he can be more economical with his pitch count, but Harvey may need a better showing if he hopes to stick in the rotation beyond this week. Jakob Junis (back) appears set to return from the injured list as soon as Wednesday, and he could bump Harvey to the bullpen or off the active roster if Kansas City wants to stick with a five-man starting staff.

Takes loss in Royals debut
Harvey (0-1) allowed three runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts in three innings in a loss to the Reds in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Impact
Harvey gave up back-to-back homers to Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suarez in the third inning, and that was enough to stick him with the loss. The 31-year-old Harvey pitched to a 7.09 ERA and 39:29 K:BB in 59.2 innings with the Angels last year. His first look with the Royals was no better -- fantasy managers can't trust Harvey outside the deepest of formats. If he gets another turn in the rotation, Harvey would line up to face the Cardinals on Tuesday.
