No decision yet Manager Torey Lovullo and his staff are having discussions about the next steps for Weaver after a rough outing Wednesday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports. "We're right in the mid...
Impact Weaver allowed six runs over four innings Wednesday, pumping his ERA up to 6.07 after six starts. Following the game, the manager was not ready to give up on the right-hander, which is prudent given that Arizona is down a couple of other starters already in Taylor Widener (groin) and Merrill Kelly (undisclosed). Weaver lines up to start Monday at home against the Marlins, the team he faced Wednesday.

Takes loss Wednesday Weaver (1-3) allowed six runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in four innings in a loss to Miami on Wednesday.
Impact Weaver struggled early on, as he allowed a pair of runs in the first inning. In the second, he gave up an RBI triple to Miguel Rojas and a three-run home run to Adam Duvall. It's been a difficult start to the season for Weaver, who owns a 6.07 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 29:11 K:BB across 29.2 innings. He's also given up six home runs across six starts, which likely plays a big part in his poor numbers. The right-hander is projected for a rematch with Miami next week.

Struggles in win Weaver allowed three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out four over four innings in Thursday's win over the Rockies.
Impact The righty had command issues all evening which consequently was the reason he was pulled after four innings. The 27-year-old threw 54 of his 85 pitches for strikes and had multiple long innings against the Rockies lineup. Weaver now has a abysmal 4.91 ERA on the year.

Falls to Atlanta Weaver (1-2) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs on six hits and four walks over five innings as the Diamondbacks were downed 5-4 by Atlanta. He struck out five.
Impact The right-hander walked more than one batter for the first time in four starts and tossed only 58 of 94 pitches for strikes. When Weaver was over the plate though he got tagged for plenty of hard contact, as five of the six hits off him went for extra bases including a two-run shot by Austin Riley in the second inning. Weaver will carry a 4.57 ERA and 19:5 K:BB over 21.2 innings into his next outing Thursday at home against the Rockies.

Impact The 27-year-old generated only six swinging strikes and required 94 pitches to record 12 outs Saturday. Weaver has allowed seven runs on 13 hits with a 14:1 K:BB over 16.2 innings this season, and he'll look to get back on track next week against the Reds.

Ditches fastball Weaver threw mainly fastballs and changeups during his seven dominant innings against the Reds on Sunday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact Weaver spent the spring trying to rework his curve while using more of a slider rather than a cutter, but he struggled through much of the Cactus League. Sunday's outing was the second straight in which he kept the curve on the shelf. He didn't need it or any of the breaking stuff, throwing 70 fastballs, 23 changeups and one slider. He spotted his mid-90s fastball and kept hitters off balance with the change. It's not the optimum recipe for starting pitchers to navigate around lineups three and four times per game over the course of a season, but it worked for this one day against this lineup.

Dominates in win Weaver (1-0) held the Reds scoreless, allowing one hit while striking out eight and walking one over seven innings in Sunday's victory over the Reds.
Impact The righty was incredible Sunday, losing his no-hit bid in the seventh inning on a single from Eugenio Suarez. The 27-year-old threw 63 of his 94 pitches for strikes and had the Reds guessing all afternoon. His next opportunity to start will come Saturday against the Nationals.
