On base three times in win
Torrens went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.
Impact
The 29-year-old catcher has started seven of 19 games in May, hitting safely in the last five while batting. 300 (6-for-20) on the month. Torrens hasn't provided much other production, supplying just one RBI and two runs over that stretch, but half his hits have gone for extra bases (two doubles and a triple) and he sports a 7:4 BB:K. Francisco Alvarez is entrenched as the Mets' starter behind the plate, but Torrens' workload and current form still give him some fantasy value in deep NL-only formats.

Moves into No. 2 role
Torrens is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
Impact
Now on the bench for the fourth time in five games, Torrens is expected to see light playing time moving forward after top backstop Francisco Alvarez returned from the 10-day injured list last week to make his season debut. Torrens proved to be an adequate replacement for Alvarez behind the dish, as he enters Monday's contest with a .258/.292/.419 slash line over his 65 plate appearances on the season.

Impact
Torrens will take a seat for the day game after a night game, paving the way for Hayden Senger to pick up a start behind the dish. Resting for day game
Torrens is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
Impact
Torrens will cede catching duties to Hayden Senger while the Mets wrap up their series in Minnesota with a day game after a night game. When healthy, Torrens has served as the Mets' No. 1 backstop this season and has produced an .825 OPS over 40 appearances, but he'll move into the backup role in the near future with Francisco Alvarez (hand) in the midst of a rehab assignment and closing in on a return from the 10-day injured list.
