Released by Philly Head was released by the Phillies on Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Impact Jacob Barnes has been signed to a minor-league deal and will replace Head in the bullpen at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Head, 33, was struggling to a 10.80 ERA through 11.2 innings of work this season in the International League.
