Sean Murphy - Launches first homer of the season Murphy went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Dodgers.

Impact Murphy finished a triple shy of the cycle, with the highlight coming when he took Eric Lauer deep for a solo homer in the sixth inning, his first long ball of the season. The three-hit performance was a season high after Murphy failed to record more than one hit in any of his previous 13 games this season. The catcher is batting just 8-for-34 (.235) across 10 games since returning from the injured list.

Tommy Edman - Fills stat sheet in loss Edman went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Atlanta.

Impact Edman doubled in his first plate appearance before taking AJ Smith-Shawver deep for a two-run homer in the third inning. He added his third RBI by drawing a bases-loaded walk in the seventh. Despite the strong performance, Edman has struggled throughout August, entering Wednesday batting .187 with a 5:18 BB:K across 21 games during the month.

Impact Scott entered the ninth inning of a tie game and retired the first two batters before Lane Thomas doubled to put the winning run in scoring position. Los Angeles elected to intentionally walk Austin Riley before Ha-Seong Kim ended the game with a walk-off RBI single. It marked Scott's second consecutive loss after he also surrendered the winning run Tuesday. Outside of those two appearances, he has allowed just two runs across 13.2 innings in the second half. Impact Smith-Shawver allowed a run in the second inning before Tommy Edman took him deep for a two-run homer in the third. Atlanta has made it clear that the right-hander will get an opportunity to show what he can do as part of a six-man rotation, however any further success could give him a shot at a permanent role should the club eventually return to five starters.
