Freddie Freeman - Three-hit effort in win
Freeman went 3-fo-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 8-7 extra-inning win over the Padres.
Impact
Freeman had been in a bit of a rut prior to Monday, going just 1-for-16 with two walks and six strikeouts over his last five games. He broke out of the slump with his third multi-hit effort of June. The first baseman has been one of the hottest hitters in the majors since late April, so a brief slump is nothing to be worried about. He's posted a .351/.418/.591 slash line with nine home runs, 41 RBI, 36 runs scored, 21 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 56 games.

Will Smith - Pops homer Monday
Smith went 1-for-4 with a two-run home and an additional RBI in Monday's 8-7 extra-inning win over the Padres.
Impact
Smith did his damage early, supplying a sacrifice fly in the first inning before his homer in the third. The catcher opened June in an 0-for-9 skid, but he's since gone 5-for-17 with three extra-base hits over his last four contests. For the season, he's maintained a .320/.423/.503 slash line with six homers, 36 RBI, 29 runs scored and two stolen bases over 53 games.

Tanner Scott - Earns 12th save
Scott allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over one inning to earn the save in Monday's 8-7 extra-inning win over the Padres.
Impact
Scott allowed an RBI double to Jackson Merrill in the 10th inning, but he was able to strand the young Padre at second base to end the back-and-forth contest. This was Scott's second save in his last three outings, which comes after manager Dave Roberts indicated the Dodgers are using a committee-based approach to closing duties. That was necessitated by Scott's bumpy stretch from May 20 to June 2, when he allowed 12 runs (10 earned) over six innings while converting just one of four save chances. Nonetheless, he remains in the late-inning mix. He's at a 4.11 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 35:4 K:BB while adding 12 saves and five holds over 30.2 innings this season. The Dodgers are 40-27 following Monday's win, so there are plenty of saves to go around -- they are one of nine teams in the majors so far to accumulate 20 saves as a team.

Dustin May - Sloppy work in no-decision
May allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out one over five innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Monday.
Impact
May gave up all six runs within the first three innings. He ended the outing with 89 pitches (48 strikes) but exited with the game tied, sparing him the loss despite not having his best stuff. The four walks were a season high, while the one strikeout matched his season low. May's poor outing put him at a 4.46 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 64:26 K:BB across 66.2 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Giants this weekend.

Blake Snell - Bullpen session on tap
Snell (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact
Snell made about 10 throws off a mound over the weekend to a standing catcher, per Plunkett, and he's now ready to take the next step in his throwing progression. The lefty hasn't tossed from a mound since experiencing a setback in late April, so he'll likely need to make it through at least a few side sessions before facing live hitters.

Tyler Glasnow - Trending in right direction
Glasnow (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday in Los Angeles, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
Impact
Glasnow has been moving in the right direction since it was reported at the end of May that he was experiencing general body soreness after throwing. "He's doing really well," stated manager Dave Roberts. "Very excited and anxious to start facing some hitters. So that's coming too." If all goes well during Glasnow's side session, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him gain clearance for live BP later in the week.

Emmet Sheehan - Continuing to ramp up
Sheehan (elbow) is expected to work at least four innings during his next rehab start, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Sheehan has looked solid during his time in the minors, working three frames in each of his last two appearances at Triple-A Oklahoma City. The right-hander may only need to make one more start at Triple-A before the club considers activating him from the 60-day IL, as skipper Dave Roberts stated Monday that there could be a conversation about adding Sheehan to the big-league rotation following his next rehab appearance.

Michael Conforto - Sitting against right-hander
Conforto is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Padres on Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Impact
Even with right-hander Nick Pivetta taking the hill for the Padres, the lefty-hitting Conforto will begin Monday's game on the bench while Andy Pages, Hyeseong Kim and Teoscar Hernandez man the outfield from left to right. Conforto has gone 3-for-22 with two RBI over his last eight games.

Mookie Betts - Swats homer Sunday
Betts went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Sunday in a 7-3 win against the Cardinals.
Impact
Betts hit the only long ball of the game on either side, belting a solo shot to left field in the seventh inning. It was his first home run since he went deep twice against Arizona on May 19. Betts seems to be picking things up at the plate, going 9-for-16 with three extra-base hits, three runs and two RBI with just one strikeout over his past four games.
