Tony Kemp - Drives in three Kemp went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and three RBI Wednesday against the Angels.

Impact Kemp was one of the few sources of offense for the Athletics on Wednesday, as he came to the plate with the bases loaded in the seventh inning and managed a bases-clearing double. Since the All-Star break, Kemp has hit .283 with 11 RBI and five runs scored across 52 plate appearances. He should remain a regular in Oakland's lineup against right-handed pitching, but overall he has just a 77 wRC+ and .269 wOBA in 101 games for the season.

Impact Rengifo took Sam Moll yard in the sixth inning for his sixth homer of the season. He has quietly been productive since July 10, homering twice with 14 RBI and 11 runs scored in 26 games. For the season, Rengifo has posted a respectable 105 wRC+ and .316 wOBA across 300 plate appearances.

Impact Sierra has become a regular in the Angels' lineup, having started seven of the team's 11 games since August 1. Prior to Wednesday's big game, he hadn't done much with the opportunity by hitting only .217 with three runs scored in 24 plate appearances in that span. While he isn't a good bet to provide well-rounded production, Sierra has managed four stolen bases across 16 games on the season.

Jordan Díaz - Intriguing returns in Double-A Diaz is hitting .309/.354/.500 with 14 home runs and a 22:60 BB:K through 89 games for Double-A Midland this season.

Impact There was some concern about whether he would be able to sustain his productivity in High-A last year (.821 OPS) at a higher level of baseball, but he's done that and more. The power (40 extra-base hits) and the contact ability (15.6 percent strikeout rate) make Diaz an exciting hitting prospect despite his defensive limitations. Previously a third baseman by trade, Diaz has appeared there just seven times this year, as he's mostly played first base or served as the DH.

Impact Sears was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas prior to the start and made his debut with the Athletics. He faced a subpar Angels lineup, and the only earned runs charged to him came after he exited the game with runners on first and second. Sears should have the chance to stick in the rotation after Paul Blackburn (finger) was placed on the injured list Wednesday. Toussaint has walked nine batters across 13.1 innings in the big leagues this season, but he has otherwise made a strong case to stick in the Angels' rotation moving forward.
