Enoli Paredes - Optioned to Triple-A Paredes was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday.

Impact Paredes was called up by the Astros on June 26, and he made three relief appearances during his week on the major-league roster. He allowed a run while striking out two in three innings but will head back to the minors after Jake Odorizzi (lower leg) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Monday.

Jake Odorizzi - Activated prior to start Odorizzi (lower leg) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Royals.

Impact Odorizzi was out since mid-May due to strains and sprains to ligaments in his right foot and ankle, but he recently made a pair of rehab starts and posted a 2.25 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in eight innings. The Astros will roll with a six-man rotation this week now that Odorizzi is available, and he should be able to handle a relatively full workload Monday since he tossed 78 pitches during his most recent rehab start.

Chas McCormick - Not in Monday's lineup McCormick isn't starting Monday against the Royals.

Impact McCormick started in the last three games and went 5-for-10 with two homers, three runs, three RBI, two walks and two strikeouts across that span. However, Mauricio Dubon will take over in left field and bat eighth Monday.

Forrest Whitley - Activated from injured list Whitley (elbow) was activated from the injured list Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Impact Whitley made a few rehab starts in recent weeks, but he has officially completed his comeback from Tommy John surgery and is ready to pitch regularly again. Whitley was assigned to Triple-A Sugar Land, where he will work on building up his pitch count. He could be an option for the big club at some point in the second half, but the Astros have a lot of capable starters, so they have little incentive to push him over the remainder of the campaign.

Impact Mushinski has been on the 15-day injured list since June 7 with left elbow discomfort and will likely need at least two appearances in the minors before he's deemed ready to rejoin the big-league bullpen. Prior to being shelved with the injury, Mushinski covered 6.1 innings and gave up three earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight across his six relief appearances for Houston.
