Returns to Triple-A The Twins optioned Rojas to Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.
Impact The left-hander last pitched Sunday in Seattle and surrendered three earned runs over one inning. Rojas and his 3.34 ERA over 29.2 innings this season are returning to Triple-A to make room on the big-league roster for trade-acquisition Jeff Hoffman.

Back in bullpen Wednesday Rojas struck out four and scattered four hits and two walks over three scoreless innings out of the bullpen in Wednesday's 4-0 loss to the Royals.
Impact Rojas tossed four scoreless frames in a start against the Athletics in his last appearance over the weekend, but he shifted back to a relief role this week after Connor Prielipp (finger) returned from the injured list to fill the open spot in the rotation. The 23-year-old lefty mopped up after starter Joe Ryan covered the first six innings and trimmed his ERA down to 2.51 for the season. Ryan is expected to be a sought-after commodity ahead of Monday's trade deadline, and if he ends up getting moved, Rojas could be first in line to join the Minnesota rotation.

Kendry Rojas Gives Twins a Glimpse of the Rotation's Future The Minnesota Twins entered Saturday expecting Joe Ryan to take the mound. By first pitch, their plans had changed twice.
JULY 26 • SI.COM
Excellent in short spot start Rojas pitched four scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Athletics on Saturday, allowing one hit and issuing one walk while striking out five batters.
Impact Rojas made his fourth start of the season as an emergency replacement for Mike Paredes, who was a late scratch due to an oblique injury. Though there was no expectation that Rojas would go very deep after having thrown fewer than 50 pitches in each of his three outings since being recalled from Triple-A on July 9, the left-hander ended up hurling 56 pitches Saturday and lasted four frames, tying his longest big-league start of the campaign. Rojas didn't go long enough to qualify for the victory, but he certainly played a big part in Minnesota's win, limiting the A's to just two baserunners (on a single and a walk) and zero runs. Rojas has plenty of experience as a starter in the minors, and he's a candidate to move into the rotation if Paredes and/or Joe Ryan (arm) needs to miss time.

Drawing start Tuesday Rojas will start Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Impact Rojas most recently worked one inning Saturday against the Cubs, so he figures to work the first inning or so before giving way to a bulk reliever. The Twins cleared a spot on the big-league roster after Monday's game by optioning Woo-suk Go to Triple-A Rochester, meaning the club will likely call up a fresh arm to work in relief of Rojas.

Back with big club The Twins recalled Rojas from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.
Impact The 23-year-old rejoins the big club after he was dispatched to St. Paul late last month. Rojas has appeared in six games for the Twins this season, making a pair of starts, and has produced a 1.65 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 18:13 K:BB across 16.1 innings. Rojas hasn't thrown since July 3 and could be an option to start Friday if Zebby Matthews (foot) is unable to make his scheduled start.

Bound for Triple-A The Twins optioned Rojas to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday.
Impact Minnesota moved Rojas to the minors and designated right-hander Austin Voth for assignment after the two pitchers covered the first six innings of Tuesday's 12-3 loss to the Dodgers. Prior to making the two-inning start for Minnesota, Rojas hadn't pitched for the big club since late May after he had been shelved due to triceps inflammation. The Twins will likely have the young lefty get further stretched out as a member of the rotation at Triple-A.
JUNE 24 • ROTOWIRE
Uneven in short spot start Rojas allowed one run on one hit and three walks while striking out four batters over two innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Impact Rojas got a chance to start Tuesday after Joe Ryan was scratched due to an illness. Rojas had thrown just 33 pitches in his lone rehab appearance after being activated off the IL on Sunday following a triceps injury, so he wasn't expected to go very deep, and that indeed proved to be the case. With that said, the lefty probably could have covered more innings if not for his lack of control -- he needed 50 pitches to cover two frames, with only 25 of his offerings going for strikes. On the plus side, Rojas struck out four and managed to work around his wildness to allow just one run. Ultimately, it was Austin Voth who took on a starter's workload in his first appearance as a Twin, eating up four innings with 96 pitches. Neither Rojas nor Voth figures to enter the rotation since Ryan has been cleared to return Wednesday.

Starting Tuesday's game The Twins announced that Rojas will start Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Impact Kendry Rojas will start Tuesday's game against the Dodgers after Joe Ryan was recently scratched from the starting role with an illness. Rojas, who was just reinstated from the 15-day injured list Sunday, will make his first outing since May 23. The 23-year-old has posted a 1.26 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 14:10 K:BB in 14.1 innings this season.

JUNE 21 • MLB.COM
Comes off IL The Twins reinstated Rojas (triceps) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.
Impact Even though Rojas was touched up for five earned runs in 1.1 innings during his lone rehab appearance for Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, the Twins came away pleased enough with his velocity and command to bring him back from the IL. Rojas had made one start and covered at least three innings in three of his five appearances for Minnesota prior to landing on the shelf May 29 due to triceps inflammation, but now that he's healthy again, he looks like he'll fill more of a versatile relief role rather than immediately displacing Mike Paredes at the back end of the rotation.
JUNE 21 • ROTOWIRE
Roughed up in rehab appearance Rojas (triceps) yielded five earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out one batter across 1.1 innings or relief in a rehab appearance Thursday with Triple-A St. Paul.
Impact Rojas made his first appearance in just over three months, after the Twins placed him on the 15-day injured list May 29 due to left triceps inflammation. While the 23-year-old's usage Thursday likely indicates that the Twins intended to bring him back from the shelf as a multi-inning reliever, that plan could change after the team announced Saturday that Mick Abel (elbow) suffered a setback that will delay his return from the 15-day IL. Minnesota may be inclined to have Rojas get stretched back out as a starter during his rehab assignment and potentially have him take over the No. 5 spot in the rotation, which is currently being filled by Mike Paredes.
JUNE 21 • ROTOWIRE
Ready for rehab assignment Rojas (elbow) has been sent to Triple-A St. Paul to begin a rehab assignment, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.
Impact Rojas has been shelved since late May with left elbow inflammation, but he's made enough progress in order to be cleared to pitch in rehab games. How long Rojas' rehab assignment lasts could depend on what role the Twins have planned for him when he returns. He's made one start for Minnesota this season and has gone multiple innings in all four of his relief appearances.

JUNE 13 • PUCKETTSPOND.COM
Bullpen session scheduled Rojas (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Impact Rojas was cleared to begin throwing last week, and he's now been cleared to do so off the mound as the next step in his recovery from elbow inflammation. He'll start off by throwing about 25 pitches and look to build up his workload during later mound sessions.
