Drew Steckenrider - Blows save Steckenrider blew the save and allowed one run on two hits with one strikeout in an inning of work in a 5-4 win Sunday over Kansas City.
Impact Steckenrider entered the game to start the ninth inning with the Mariners leading 3-2. After retiring the first batter, he gave up a solo home run to Hunter Dozier to even the score. The righty did not allow a run in his first five appearances but has given up three runs over his last two contests. The Mariners' closer situation is by-committee at this point, as Steckenrider is one of three relievers with one save, and there is no clear frontrunner.

Adalberto Mondesi - Swipes two bags Mondesi went 0-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases in a 5-4 loss Sunday in Seattle.
Impact Mondesi walked and stole second in the seventh and added another stolen base as the automatic runner in the 12th. He struck out in his other four plate appearances. The positives for the shortstop this season are that he is 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts and has yet to make an error. Other than that, his .301 OPS and nearly 40 percent strikeout rate are providing little, if not negative, offensive value.

Hunter Dozier - Hits game-tying homer Dozier went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a 5-4 loss Sunday in Seattle.
Impact Dozier hit a one-out solo shot off Drew Steckenrider to tie the game 3-3 in the ninth inning. The right fielder is off to a solid start with a .817 OPS, hitting for power and average. In 52 plate appearances to start the season, however, he has not walked. The 30-year-old has walked at a league average rate (8.5 percent) over his career and if he's able to regain that, he may put up his best numbers since 2019.

Julio Rodríguez - Steals sixth base Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in a 5-4 win Sunday over Kansas City.
Impact After failing to reach in his first three plate appearances, Rodriguez singled in the ninth and was intentionally walked in the 11th. His ninth-inning stolen base was his sixth of the season. The 21-year-old has hit safely in six of his last seven contests, going 8-for-28 with three walks and four stolen bases over that span.

Ty France - Homers, reaches four times France went 3-for-5 with a home run, run scored, walk and two RBI in a 5-4 win Sunday over Kansas City.
Impact France hit a two-run homer in the first inning and added two singles and a walk later in the game. The first baseman is on fire with eight hits and seven RBI in his last two games and six multi-hit games in his last eight. Not only has he hit for power and average, the 27-year-old has only eight strikeouts on the season while walking seven times.
