Moves up from Triple-A The Mets recalled Hagenman from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday.
Impact Hagenman will provide the New York bullpen with another right-handed option who's capable of covering multiple innings, but his usage will likely be limited to lower-leverage spots. Through seven appearances (one start) with the Mets this season, Hagenman has submitted a 3.26 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB over 19.1 innings.

Sent back to Triple-A The Mets optioned Hagenman to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.
Impact Hagenman pitched in three games since his latest recall but will head back to the minors after the Mets activated Paul Blackburn (shoulder) from the 15-day IL on Wednesday. Hagenman has a 3.26 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB across 19.1 innings for New York this season.

Nearly perfect in first career save Hagenman was credited with the save in Tuesday's 13-5 win over Atlanta after allowing one walk in four hitless innings of relief. He struck out five.
Impact Hagenman notched his first career save after fulfilling mop-up duty Tuesday, and he was certainly impressive in doing so. The right-hander has a serviceable 3.26 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB across his first 19.1 innings, but he's highly unlikely to be in the running for save opportunities for the Mets in more competitive games.

Impact Hagenman has made three starts and one relief appearance for the Mets this season, allowing eight runs (seven earned) with a 13:1 K:BB over 12.1 frames. The right-hander will provide the Mets' bullpen with some length.

Returned to Syracuse The Mets optioned Hagenman to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.
Impact Hagenman will surrender his spot on the 26-man roster to Kodai Senga (hamstring), who has been activated from the injured list. In four MLB appearances this season, Hagenman posted a 5.11 ERA and a 13:1 K:BB across 12.1 innings.

Takes loss in relief appearance Hagenman (0-1) was the pitcher of record in the Mets' 7-3 loss to the Orioles on Thursday in the second game of a doubleheader, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and o...
Impact After making his first major-league start in his previous appearance last Friday against the Yankees, Hagenman shifted to a relief role while the Mets treated the second game of the twin bill as a bullpen day. After Brandon Waddell worked the first three innings of the contest, Hagenman entered a 3-3 game in the bottom of the fourth and turned in a clean frame. The righty then retired two of the first three batters he faced in the fifth, but he allowed the next three batters to reach base as the Orioles broke the tie and put him on the hook for the loss. Considering Hagenman tossed 41 pitches Thursday, he's unlikely to be available for at least the next couple of days, so the Mets could option him to Triple-A Syracuse to clear a spot on the active roster for Kodai Senga (hamstring), who will be reinstated from the injured list ahead of his start Friday in Kansas City.

Shaky in spot start Hagenman didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Yankees, giving up four runs on five hits and no walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out five.
Impact Hagenman served up three home runs, two of which came in the opening frame. The right-hander settled down a bit afterward to eat some innings for a depleted Mets rotation, fanning a season-high five in his longest outing of the year. Through 10.1 frames, Hagenman owns a 4.35 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 10:0 K:BB. His next turn in New York's rotation lines up to be against the Orioles at Camden Yards, although it's possible Kodai Senga (hamstring) will be able to return for that spot.

Drawing start Friday Hagenman is slated to start Friday's game against the Yankees at Citi Field, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Impact The 28-year-old right-hander will be making his first MLB start Friday, after his prior two appearances with the Mets came in relief. Before he was recalled Thursday, Hagenman had been making regular turns out of the rotation at Triple-A Syracuse, with whom he's posted a 6.21 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 46:9 K:BB in 42 innings. With a decent showing Friday, Hagenman could get another start with the Mets next week, but he might not have much longevity in the rotation beyond that with Sean Manaea (oblique/elbow) and Kodai Senga (hamstring) both nearing returns from the injured list.

Recalled from Syracuse The Mets recalled Hagenman from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.
Impact Hagenman has struggled to begin the season in Triple-A, accumulating a 6.21 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 42 innings. However, the Mets are dealing with a shortage of rotation arms following Paul Blackburn's (shoulder) move to the IL and Blade Tidwell's move back to Syracuse, so Hagenman will likely make a start or two for New York leading up to the All-Star break.

Sent to Triple-A The Mets optioned Hagenman to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Impact The Mets needed to make a move in order to promote Blade Tidwell ahead of his start Friday against the Phillies. Hagenman made his MLB debut back in April but was sent back down after working 3.1 innings of bulk relief. He did the same in Thursday's 7-1 loss to Atlanta, pitching 2.2 innings out of the bullpen, allowing zero runs on two hits and no walks whiles striking out one.

Works in relief Thursday Hagenman struck out one and allowed two hits and no walks in 2.2 shutout innings of relief in Thursday's 7-1 loss to Atlanta.
Impact Though Hagenman was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse prior to Thursday's game, multiple reports suggested that the Mets were planning on saving him for Friday, when he was expected to start or work in bulk relief in the team's series opener in Philadelphia. However, after starter Clay Holmes was unable to make it out of the fifth Thursday, the Mets ended up calling upon Hagenman to eat some innings and save the rest of the bullpen from overuse. Hagenman was able to get the job done, but he could be headed back to Syracuse on Friday with the Mets now set to call up Blade Tidwell from the minors to make a spot start against the Phillies.
