Designated for assignment
The Mets designated Teheran for assignment on Tuesday.
Impact
The veteran right-hander started Monday against Atlanta, but he won't stick around with the Mets after giving up four runs on six hits over 2.2 innings. Teheran can reject an outright assignment to Triple-A Syracuse and become a free agent, though it's unclear if he plans to do so.

Could opt out of Baltimore
Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reported Friday that Teheran plans to opt out of his contract if he's not on the Orioles' Opening Day roster.
Impact
Teheran joined the Orioles on Feb. 27 after spending last season with the Brewers, when he posted a 4.40 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 50:13 K:BB over 71.2 innings. He entered spring training competing for a place on the starting rotation, and his chances of making the roster increased with Kyle Bradish (elbow) and John Means (elbow) expected to miss the early portion of the regular season. If Teheran does make the Opening Day roster, he figures to work out of the bullpen with Cole Irvin named as Baltimore's fifth starter to begin the season.

Elects free agency
Teheran elected to become a free agent Friday.
Impact
Teheran was pushed off the 40-man roster in Milwaukee just before the final weekend of the regular season. The 32-year-old former top prospect fared pretty well when healthy this year, posting an overall 4.40 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 50:13 K:BB in 71.2 innings (11 starts, three relief appearances) for the NL Central-champion Brewers. He should fetch some interest on the open market this winter.

Joins Triple-A Nashville
Teheran was sent outright to Triple-A Nashville on Monday, per MLB's transactions log.
Impact
Teheran was designated for assignment by Milwaukee on Friday, and after failing to draw interest on waivers, he'll report to Triple-A. The veteran posted a 4.40 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with a 50:13 K:BB across 71.2 frames during the regular season.

Designated for assignment
The Brewers designated Teheran for assignment Friday.
Impact
After starting the season hot with a 1.53 ERA and 0.88 WHIP through 35.1 innings across his first six starts, Teheran has allowed 29 earned runs over 36.1 frames since June 27. His second-half struggles will ultimately cost Teheran his spot on the Crew's 40-man roster, and it will be given to Caleb Boushley, who is set to make his MLB debut Friday.

Earns win in scoreless outing
Teheran (3-5) allowed one hit across four scoreless innings, earning the win in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Cardinals. He struck out four.
Impact
Teheran took over to provide some long relief after Corbin Burnes pitched four innings, responding with four clean innings of his own to keep the team shutout intact. The right-hander has shown well in bulk relief this month, pitching to a 2 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with six strikeouts across nine innings.

Activated from 15-day IL
Milwaukee activated Teheran (hip) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Teheran will return to the Brewers in a long relief role after missing several weeks because of a right hip impingement. He had posted a 4.74 ERA and 44:11 K:BB in 62.2 innings (11 starts) prior to landing on the IL in late July.

ROTOWIRE
Waiting in minors for activation
Teheran (hip) made the fifth appearance of his rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Nashville, striking out one and working around two hits over two scoreless innings.
Impact
Teheran looks to be fully recovered from the right hip impingement that sent him to the 15-day injured list July 30, as he's already made a pair of five-inning starts for Nashville before being limited to two innings Friday. The Brewers haven't indicated that Teheran's early exit was the result of any setback with his hip; instead, the organization may just be looking to keep the right-hander healthy in case he's needed by the big club over the final two weeks of the regular season. Milwaukee doesn't have an opening in the rotation at the moment, and Teheran lacks the sort of power arsenal to be a difference maker out of the bullpen, so he may have to wait for an injury to one of the Brewers' five starters before he's activated.

Makes another rehab start
Teheran (hip) made the fourth start of his rehab assignment Sunday with Triple-A Nashville, striking out five in five innings while allowing three earned runs on three hits and two...
Impact
Teheran covered five frames for the second rehab outing in a row, though after tossing 72 pitches his last time out, the right-hander was lifted after 60 pitches (34 strikes) on Sunday. He appears to be sufficiently stretched out for starting duty again following his placement on the 15-day injured list July 30 with a right hip impingement, but the Brewers don't have an immediate need for Teheran in their rotation. Colin Rea has been solid enough in two turns through the rotation since rejoining the Brewers earlier this month as a replacement for injured No. 5 starter Adrian Houser (elbow).

ROTOWIRE
Thrives in latest rehab start
Teheran (hip) gave up an unearned run on one hit and three walks while striking out three over five innings in his latest rehab start Tuesday for Triple-A Nashville.
Impact
Teheran was making his third minor-league rehab start Tuesday and delivered his best outing yet, limiting Memphis to just one hit despite spotting only 37 of his 72 pitches for strikes. Though the Brewers likely would have wanted to see better efficiency from Teheran, he looks built up enough at this point to return from the 15-day injured list and potentially rejoin the big-league rotation. Incumbent No. 5 starter Adrian Houser (elbow) is on the shelf, and Colin Rea is slated to make a second straight start in his stead Thursday versus the Yankees. If Rea falters during his upcoming outing, the Brewers could turn to Teheran to replace Rea as their new No. 5 starter.

ROTOWIRE
Roughed up in Triple-A start
Teheran (hip) covered 2.1 innings and allowed four earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four Thursday in his rehab start with Triple-A Nashville.
Impact
Teheran tossed 60 pitches (34 strikes) in the second outing of his rehab assignment overall after he previously made a three-inning start for High-A Wisconsin on Aug. 25. The right-hander will likely need at least one more outing in the minors to get fully stretched out for starting duty, but it's not certain that Milwaukee will have a spot available for him in its rotation once he's healthy. Colin Rea will be called up from Nashville to fill in Saturday against the Phillies for injured No. 5 starter Adrian Houser (elbow). How Rea performs Saturday along with how quickly Houser recovers from his injury may dictate whether Teheran gets another look in the Milwaukee rotation.

ROTOWIRE
Shifting rehab to Triple-A
Teheran (hip) is set to make the next appearance of his rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Nashville, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact
After striking out four batters while allowing one earned run on three hits and one walk over three innings in his first rehab outing Friday with High-A Wisconsin, Teheran will jump two levels for his second appearance. Assuming Teheran is able to build up from anywhere between four and six innings Wednesday, he should be ready to take on a traditional starting role with the Brewers. While Milwaukee wouldn't appear to have a rotation spot available for Teheran at the moment, that could change if the forearm tightness that knocked Adrian Houser out of Sunday's win over the Padres is serious enough to send him to the 15-day injured list.

ROTOWIRE
Cleared for rehab assignment
Teheran (hip) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Friday with High-A Wisconsin.
Impact
Teheran should again be an option for the Brewers, as either a starter or long reliever, after a couple of outings on the farm. The 32-year-old right-hander had pitched to a 4.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 44:11 K:BB in 62.2 innings (11 starts) prior to landing on the injured list in late July with a right hip impingement.

Throws bullpen session
Teheran (hip) threw a bullpen session Saturday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact
Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Saturday's bullpen session would be the first of three for Teheran before he embarks on a rehab assignment. There's still no exact return date in place for the 32-year-old righty, but he seems to be in line for a return toward the end of August.

ROTOWIRE
Hits IL after poor start
The Brewers placed Teheran on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right hip impingement.
Impact
Teheran's move to the IL comes one day after he was blasted for nine earned runs on 11 hits -- including three home runs -- over five innings in an 11-5 loss to Atlanta. Though the hip impingement doesn't sound like a long-term concern, Teheran won't necessarily have a spot in the Milwaukee rotation waiting for him once he's back to full health. The Brewers will bring back Wade Miley (elbow) from the 15-day IL on Wednesday to join the rotation as a replacement for Teheran, who now owns a 4.74 ERA (5.08 FIP) in 62.2 innings over his 11 starts with Milwaukee.

Shelled in rematch vs. ATL
Teheran (2-5) took the loss against Atlanta on Saturday, allowing nine runs on 11 hits and no walks while striking out four batters over five innings.
Impact
Teheran was impressive against Atlanta in his previous start, allowing one run over six innings in a no-decision. The rematch Saturday against his former club didn't go anywhere near as well, as the right-hander gave up six runs in the first inning and a season-high nine runs overall. Atlanta tagged Teheran for three homers, accounting for five of the runs against him. The veteran hurler made for a good story when he opened the campaign with a 1.53 ERA over his first six starts after appearing in just one big-league game across the previous two seasons. However, things have mostly soured for Teheran since, as he holds an 0-3 record and an 8.89 ERA in his subsequent five outings.
