Optioned to Syracuse The Mets optioned Walker to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Impact After throwing a scoreless inning Tuesday against the Rays, Walker will return to Triple-A as Carlos Carrasco (elbow) returns from the 15-day injured list. The 28-year-old southpaw holds an impressive 0.68 ERA and 0.92 WHIP through 13.1 frames in Triple-A and will likely be a top choice to return to the majors should New York's bullpen depth be tested later in the season.
