Flaherty scheduled to start for St. Louis against Milwaukee

Set to start nightcap Friday Lindblom will start Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Lindblom will stay on normal rest to start the nightcap, with Brent Suter taking the ball in Game 1. The right-hander will look to pick up his third win and try to lower his 4.81 ERA.

Impact Lindblom kept the Royals scoreless through five innings before he left the game and was charged with a run allowed by Freddy Peralta in the sixth. Over his last two starts, he's allowed just one run over 10.1 innings, lowering his ERA from 6.06 to 4.81 in the process. Lindblom will make his final start of the season Friday at home against St. Louis.

Impact The veteran right-hander made two relief appearances over the past week, but he'll return to the rotation with the Brewers playing five games against the Cardinals in the next three days. A solid outing Monday could provide Lindblom a couple more starting chances over the finale two weeks of the season. He has a 6.06 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 42:15 K:BB over 32.2 innings.
