Walks five Monday Cueto allowed two runs on five hits and five walks while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Monday.
Impact Considering Cueto walked a season-high five batters, he was lucky to come away with his third quality start in his last four outings. The veteran threw 57 of 93 pitches for strikes, and he's completed at least six innings in eight of his 10 appearances this year. For the season, he owns a 3.30 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 48:18 K:BB across 60 innings. Cueto will look to regain his control this weekend in a home start versus the Tigers.

Picks up second win Cueto (2-4) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts in six innings, earning the win Tuesday over the Angels.
Impact Cueto was plagued by the long ball in the third inning, allowing solo home runs to Andrew Velazquez, Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. The White Sox's offense came to life in the fifth, and Cueto was able to avoid any further damage to pick up his second win of the year. Both of his victories have come in his last three starts. The veteran right-hander has a 3.33 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 45:13 K:BB in 54 innings across nine appearances (eight starts) overall. Cueto is projected for a home start versus the Twins next week.

No support in loss Cueto (1-4) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings, taking the loss versus the Orioles on Thursday.
Impact Cueto was cruising until the fourth inning, when Adley Rutschman tagged him for a two-run home run. It was Rutschman who added a third run to Cueto's line with an RBI double in the sixth. While it wasn't a particularly sharp outing for the 36-year-old right-hander, he can't win if he doesn't get run support. He's allowed nine runs in 23.1 innings in his last four appearances, and he's got a solid 3.19 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB in 48 innings overall. Cueto is in line for a road start versus the Angels next week.

Earns first win Cueto (1-3) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out five over seven shutout innings, earning the win Saturday over the Astros.
Impact Cueto's last outing was in a long relief appearance, but he was back in the rotation as expected Saturday. He turned in his longest start of the season, and it was also one of his most dominant as he gave up almost nothing to the Astros. The 36-year-old had given up at least three runs in each of his last four outings before Saturday's gem. He's pitched to a 2.95 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB across 42.2 innings in seven games overall. He's lined up for a favorable home start versus the Orioles next week.

Five innings in relief Cueto allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four in five innings of relief Sunday against Texas. He did not factor into the decision in the team's loss.
Impact Cueto was scheduled to start Monday in Detroit but came on in the third inning after Michael Kopech left with a knee injury. He got off to a rocky start, allowing a single on his first pitch and a two-run homer to Eli White two pitches later. After another run scored in the fourth, he retired 10 of the last 11 batters he faced. The 36-year-old has amassed a 3.53 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 35.2 innings in six appearances since joining Chicago in May.

Quality start Wednesday Cueto (0-3) was charged with the loss Wednesday after he pitched six innings, surrendering three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five versus the Dodgers.
Impact Cueto was hurt by the long ball in this one, giving up a two-run homer to Will Smith in the first frame and a solo shot to Cody Bellinger in the second. It was his fifth consecutive start where he tossed at least six innings to open the season, but after starting the year with 12 scoreless frames, he's allowed 11 runs over 18.2 innings in his last three outings. Cueto's season numbers now stand at a 3.23 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 24 punchouts over 30.2 innings in five starts. He'll look to get into the win column his next time on the mound, which tentatively lines up with him facing the Tigers on Monday.

Hit hard in loss Cueto (0-2) picked up the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits while striking out five in six innings of an 8-3 defeat Thursday in Toronto.
Impact Five of the seven hits against Cueto went for extra bases, including a two-run shot by Teoscar Hernandez. The home run was the first he's allowed in his 24.2 innings this season. The veteran has gone six innings or more in each of his four starts. After not allowing a run in his first two outings, he's allowed nine runs (eight earned) in his last two outings. His next start will likely be in the middle of next week against the Dodgers.

Tagged for five runs against Cubs Cueto (0-1) took the loss against the Cubs on Saturday, allowing five runs on nine hits and three walks over 6.2 innings while striking out two.
Impact Cueto entered the contest having tossed 12 scoreless frames over his first two starts, but he couldn't extend the strong stretch against the crosstown rival Cubs. The veteran hurler gave up three runs over the first two innings and surrendered another pair in the seventh before he was lifted with two outs. Cueto also struck out a season-low two batters and tallied a season-high three walks. He'll look to get in the win column for the first time this season in his next start, which is lined up to come in Toronto late next week.
