Impact Wiemer broke a scoreless tie with a three-run shot in the fifth inning. He then added an RBI double in the seventh, which ended up being the go-ahead run, before crossing home himself. Wiemer's last home run and multi-hit game happened April 26; in the nine games between those two performances, he went 4-for-26 (.154).

Impact Wiemer's second home run of the season was a solo shot in the eighth that extended the Brewers' lead to 6-2. With Garrett Mitchell (shoulder) and Tyrone Taylor (elbow) out for extended periods, Wiemer should continue to act as an everyday player for Milwaukee.

Impact Wiemer had an impactful day at the plate. He doubled to lead off the fifth and came around to score off the bat of Christian Yelich. He then walked to kick things off in the seventh and later scored again after he stole second. It was Wiemer's second multi-hit effort over his last four games but just his third of the young season. He's struggled to hit for average but has maintained a patient eye at the plate, slashing .219/.315/.328 with a homer, five RBI, seven runs and a 9:15 BB:K over 73 plate appearances.

Impact Getting the start in center field and hitting ninth, Wiemer crushed his first career homer off David Peterson in the second inning, driving the ball the opposite way over the wall in right field. The 24-year-old outfielder has looked great since his promotion, batting .353 (6-for-17) through five games, and it may not be long before Wiemer works his way into a more fantasy-friendly spot in the order.

Set for MLB debut Wiemer was called up Saturday and will bat ninth and play center field against the Cubs.

Impact Wiemer missed out on the Opening Day roster but didn't have to wait long for a call-up, as Luis Urias (hamstring) got injured on Opening Day. Wiemer recorded a .761 OPS in 84 games for Double-A Biloxi while striking out 30.2 percent of the time, but he improved to an .888 OPPS and 19.5 percent strikeout rate in 43 games for Triple-A Nashville. He added 31 steals between the two stops. He could be set to fill the short side of a platoon in center field with Garrett Mitchell, though it will take a few more games to figure out exactly how the Brewers plan on dividing up their outfield at-bats.
