Lands on injured list The Rockies placed Criswell on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right shoulder strain.

Impact Criswell gave up two earned runs in two innings Friday in what was his first appearance since returning to the majors last Saturday, but the Rockies will now be without his services until at least Aug. 2. His roster spot will be filled by Tomoyuki Sugano (back), who returned from the injured list to start Saturday's game against the Reds.

Back with Rockies The Rockies recalled Criswell from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Impact Criswell has put up a 6.87 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 18.1 innings with the Isotopes, but he's fired two shutout innings with the big club this year. He'll fill the void in Colorado's bullpen left by TJ Shook and figures to work in middle relief.

Demoted to Triple-A The Rockies optioned Criswell to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Impact Criswell turned in scoreless innings in both of his appearances after being recalled from Triple-A on Tuesday, but he'll be sent back down so the Rockies can get a fresh arm in the bullpen in the form of Eiberson Castellano. Criswell hasn't performed nearly as well at Albuquerque this season (nine earned runs in 10.2 IP), but his performance with the Rockies could keep him in consideration for a return to Colorado later in the year.

Recalled from Triple-A The Rockies recalled Criswell from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

Impact Criswell missed all of the 2025 season recovering from Tommy John surgery and has authored a 7.59 ERA in 10.2 innings with Albuquerque this season, though he has struck out 15. If/when the 27-year-old gets into a game, it will be his first in the majors since 2024.

Back from IL, staying in minors The Rockies reinstated Criswell (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Impact Criswell has spent the entire season on the injured list while finishing up his recovery from a Tommy John procedure he underwent in March 2025. He's already made a handful of appearances in the minors while on a rehab assignment but has struggled to the tune of a 5.91 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 10.2 innings split between three affiliates. The Rockies will keep him in the minors for now, but now that he's back on the organization's 40-man roster, he's a likely candidate to return to the majors at some point once Colorado needs a fresh bullpen arm.
