Optioned to Triple-A The White Sox optioned Eder to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Impact Eder was touched up for four runs (three earned) on two hits and three walks over 2.1 innings this spring. The left-hander will likely be used in the rotation at Charlotte and could eventually be an option to help the White Sox as a starter or reliever.

Impact Once a promising prospect in the Marlins' system, Eder had Tommy John surgery in 2021 and hasn't recaptured his pre-surgery combination of wipeout stuff and starter-level command. He has a 9.87 ERA and 1.99 WHIP in 34.2 innings across nine starts for Charlotte. It's unclear if Eder will get a shot as a starter or work as a low-leverage reliever when he makes his big-league debut.
