Impact The southpaw was clinical once again, holding Tampa Bay to just a single through four innings, but Willy Adames and Joey Wendle led off the fifth with back-to-back knocks that put Adames in position to score on Manuel Margot's fielder's choice. Ryu threw 61 of 94 pitches for strikes, and he's given up one run or fewer in four straight outings to lower his ERA to 3.19. He'll look to get back into the win column Thursday, at home against the Red Sox.

Impact The 33-year-old surrendered a solo homer to Brian Anderson during the second inning, but he otherwise kept the Marlins in check all evening. The Blue Jays scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to put him in line for the win, but the Marlins rallied late to for the 10th inning. Ryu gave up eight runs in nine innings during his first two starts, but in his last two outings he's allowed only one run on three hits across 11 frames. The left-hander will look to keep things rolling early next week in Baltimore.

His velocity was down in his start last week and the Nationals capitalized for nine hits in 4.1 innings. Another rocky outing Ryu (0-1) allowed five earned runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five across 4.1 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Nationals.

Impact Ryu worked two clean innings to start the game, but then surrendered runs in each of his final three frames to turn in a disappointing start. Four of the nine hits he surrendered went for extra-bases, the most harmful of which was a two-run home run by Michael Taylor. While only two outings, Ryu has gotten off to a rocky start with the Blue Jays, surrendering eight earned runs across nine innings pitched.
