Diagnosed with Grade 2 strain Harvey was diagnosed with a Grade 2 adductor strain and received an injection Tuesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Impact Manager Matt Quatraro said Tuesday that Harvey is expected to miss a significant amount of time, but the team still believes he could pitch again before the end of the season. A clearer timeline for his return will likely emerge whenever he's cleared to begin a throwing program.

Back to IL with adductor strain The Royals placed Harvey on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right adductor strain.
Impact Harvey has yet to allow a run this season, but he's been limited to just 12 relief appearances due to a shoulder injury and now an adductor strain. He will be eligible for activation Aug. 26, but it's unclear whether he'll have a chance to be ready at that time.

Earns first win Harvey (1-0) earned the win Sunday against the Blue Jays. He allowed a hit and no walks while striking out one over a scoreless inning.
Impact Harvey pitched a clean ninth inning to send the game to extras, where a Royals offensive outburst secured him the win. The right-hander missed more than three months with a shoulder injury but has been excellent when available. Since being activated July 27, he has logged 3.1 scoreless innings, improving his season totals to a 0.00 ERA and 0.46 WHIP over 8.2 innings across 10 appearances. While the sample size remains small, it is worth noting that Harvey's fastball velocity has dipped to a career-low 95.9 mph, but he has yet to issue a walk.
