Meyers, Brown spark the Astros to 2-0 victory over the Cardinals

Erick Fedde - Works around danger in second loss Fedde (1-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Astros after giving up one run on six hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out five.
Impact Fedde managed to escape two bases-loaded jams, with one coming in the second inning by getting Mauricio Dubon to fly out and another in the fourth after forcing Jose Altuve to fly out. Jake Meyers plated a run on a single in the sixth, but Fedde was able to induce a double play to close his outing on a positive note. Although the veteran right-hander carries a solid 3.43 ERA and 1.14 WHIP through four starts (21 innings), his 10:11 K:BB is a cause for concern heading into next week's tough matchup in Atlanta.

Hunter Brown - Fourth straight quality start Brown (2-1) got the win Tuesday against the Cardinals after giving up four hits and no walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out four.
Impact The biggest threat to Brown's scoreless start came during the fourth inning, when the Cardinals got two runners into scoring position with two outs, but Nolan Gorman struck out on a foul tip to end the frame. Brown has been a reliable starter for the Astros and fantasy managers alike in the early going, recording four consecutive quality starts while producing a 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB through 24 innings. The right-hander next sets up to take on the Blue Jays at home early next week.
