Impact The left-handed-hitting Julien had started in each of the Twins' last five games -- all against right-handed pitchers -- but he went just 3-for-14 with one walk against four strikeouts during that span. Julien will head to the bench Monday even as the Royals send a right-hander (Michael Lorenzen) to the mound, opening up a starting spot in the infield for Jose Miranda.

Zach Cole - Out with oblique injury Double-A Corpus Christi placed Cole on the 7-day injured list with an oblique injury, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.
Impact Cole isn't expected to miss too much time. A toolsy outfielder with significant strikeout issues, Cole hit .214 with 10 home runs, 14 steals and a 38.3 percent strikeout rate in 70 games at Double-A last year and he turns 25 in August.

Ryan Forcucci - Aiming for late-season pro debut Forcucci (elbow) should make his pro debut late this season, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.
Impact Forcucci had Tommy John surgery in June, and if all goes perfectly during his rehab, he would have a chance to pitch in games in August or September. The hard-throwing righty could also be a candidate to head to the Arizona Fall League to make up for lost time.
