Called up, batting sixth in debut The Giants called up Ramos from Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, and he'll start in left field and bat sixth against the Marlins, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Impact Ramos began the season at the Triple-A level and went 3-for-13 with a home run, four runs and four RBI in four games, and he'll make his major-league debut in Sunday's series finale versus Miami. LaMonte Wade (knee) is on the injured list to open the season, and Ramos could carve out a regular big-league role if he plays well early in his first taste of the majors.

Expected to get called up and start Ramos is expected to be called up to the Giants' big-league roster and start Sunday against the Marlins, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Impact After failing to play with the team this spring before being sent down to Triple-A Sacramento on March 28, Ramos will quickly get called up to make his MLB debut Sunday. The outfielder had started three games at Triple-A this past week, collecting three hits including a homer, four RBI and four runs in 12 at-bats while walking three times as well. The 22-year-old offers the Giants another depth option in the outfield and we're yet to see what corresponding move the organization will make to call him up.

Sent back to Triple-A Sacramento Ramos was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Impact The 22-year-old didn't crack a lineup with the Giants this spring, returning to the minors Monday. In 54 games with Sacramento last season, Ramos batted .272 while hitting four homers and driving in 30 runs. Additionally, the outfielder swiped eight bags which if translated to 162 games would be 24 steals.

Impact It was a somewhat disappointing season for Ramos, as he logged a .755 OPS at Double-A and a .722 OPS at Triple-A. Those are fine marks, but he had a chance to really show that he was a big part of the Giants' future last season and didn't quite do that. Even so, he'll be 22 next season and will be back at Triple-A, so there's still plenty of time for it all to come together for him.
