INJURIES

Out for Game 1 of twin bill Ramirez (shoulder) is out of the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader with Kansas City.
Impact Ramirez could rejoin the starting nine for the nightcap, but Cleveland may prefer to stay away from the 27-year-old for the day after he injured his right shoulder in Sunday's blowout win over the Yankees. Before departing, Ramirez enjoyed a nice day at the dish, going 2-for-2 with four RBI and a run. Oscar Mercado will spell Ramirez in left field as Cleveland kicks off a nine-game week that includes a pair of doubleheaders.

Exits with apparent shoulder injury Ramirez was removed from Sunday's game against the Yankees after suffering an apparent right shoulder injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Impact Ramirez crashed into the right field wall attempting to catch Gio Urshela's home run. He should be considered day-to-day until further notice.

Takes seat Wednesday Ramirez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
Impact Oscar Mercado will pick up the start in left field in place for Ramirez, who was included in the lineup in three of the past four contests. Since coming off the 10-day injured list Sept. 1, Ramirez is hitting .286 with four doubles, two RBI and four runs in 10 games.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting Game 2 Ramirez is sitting out the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Twins.
Impact The outfielder started Game 1, collecting two hits and a run. Ramirez now has three multi-hit games in his last seven contests. He will be replaced in left field by Oscar Mercado, who will bat ninth.
SEPTEMBER 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting Friday Ramirez is not starting Friday against the Brewers.
Impact He'll sit after going 2-for11 with a double during the previous three games. Bradley Zimmer shifts to left field as Franmil Reyes starts in right field Friday.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Resting Monday Ramirez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.
Impact Since returning from the injured list Sept. 1, Ramirez started in left field in four of his first five games back with the team and went 6-for-16 with two doubles, three runs and two RBI over that stretch. He looks like he'll remain Cleveland's primary option at the position for the final month of the season, but Oscar Mercado will pick up a start in left in Monday's series opener.
SEPTEMBER 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Keeps hitting streak alive Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over Boston.
Impact Ramirez was one of three Cleveland players that plated at least two runs, but most importantly, he kept his hitting streak alive and has now recorded at least one knock in seven straight contests. He's hitting .375 (9-for-24) with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored in that span while posting a 2:2 BB:K.
SEPTEMBER 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Not starting Friday Ramirez is out of the lineup Friday against the Red Sox.
Impact Ramirez was activated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday and started the past two games, but he'll receive a day off after going 3-for-8 with a double and two runs scored. Oscar Mercado will start in left field and bat sixth for Cleveland.
SEPTEMBER 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Reinstated from 10-day IL Ramirez (knee) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
Impact Ramirez recently made four rehab appearances at High-A Lake County and went 4-for-13 with a solo home run and a strikeout. The 26-year-old spent just under three weeks on the shelf but is starting in left field and batting sixth in his return to the lineup against the Royals on Wednesday.
SEPTEMBER 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ready for rehab assignment Ramirez (knee) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with High-A Lake County.
Impact Sidelined since Aug. 11 with a sore right knee, Ramirez should be in store for a relatively brief rehab assignment before perhaps rejoining Cleveland over the weekend. Once Ramirez is back in the fold, Oscar Mercado could lose hold of an everyday role in the Cleveland outfield.

AUGUST 13, 2021 • CLEVELAND.COM
Heads to injured list Ramirez (knee) was placed on the injured list Friday.
Impact Ramirez left Wednesday's game against Oakland with right knee tightness, an issue which is evidently serious enough to cost him at least 10 days. The transaction was backdated to Thursday, so he'll be eligible to return Aug. 22. Infielder Yu Chang was called up in a corresponding move.
AUGUST 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Held out of Thursday's lineup Ramirez (knee) isn't starting Thursday's game against Oakland.

Impact Ramirez went 1-for-1 with an RBI and suffered the injury when he was caught stealing during the opening frame. He should be considered day-to-day until more is known about the injury.

AUGUST 11, 2021 • CLEVELAND.COM

Impact Ramirez started the past three games and will head to the bench after going 2-for-12 with a double. Oscar Mercado will start in left field Sunday for Cleveland.
AUGUST 8, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Not in Wednesday's lineup Ramirez isn't starting Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
Impact Ramirez had started each of the first two games of the series and went 2-for-9 with a double, two RBI, a run and a strikeout. Oscar Mercado will start in left field and bat sixth.
AUGUST 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting Sunday Ramirez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Impact Ramirez will hit the bench after he had started in each of the past eight games, going 6-for-33 with no walks over that stretch. His slash line now sits at .266/.305/.416 for the season after the recent slide, but Ramirez should still rank ahead of both Oscar Mercado and Daniel Johnson in the pecking order for everyday duties in left field.
AUGUST 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Doubles twice in narrow win Ramirez went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in Saturday's 12-11 win over the White Sox.
Impact The pair of extra-base hits were Ramirez's first since July 10. Despite the power outage, Ramirez still looks fairly secure as an everyday outfielder, even after the addition of Myles Straw at the trade deadline. The duo of Oscar Mercado and Daniel Johnson is more likely to lose work in the outfield with Straw joining the mix.
AUGUST 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Adds steal Thursday Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to Tampa Bay.
Impact Ramirez got aboard with a single and stole second before scoring on an Austin Hedges sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. It was Ramirez's third stolen base of the season, which represents a career high. He's slashing a solid.279/.323/.441 with six home runs, 24 RBI and 25 runs scored through 220 plate appearances as a regular option in the corner outfield.
JULY 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Takes seat Wednesday Ramirez isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Astros.
Impact Ramirez has recorded hits in each of his four appearances since the All-Star break, and he's gone 4-for-14 with two RBI, a walk and three strikeouts during that time. Franmil Reyes will start in right field while Bobby Bradley serves as the designated hitter.
JULY 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Gets Sunday off Ramirez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
Impact After going 2-for-7 while starting the first two games of the second half, Ramirez will cede right-field duties to Daniel Johnson in the series finale. Ramirez still appears fairly secure as Cleveland's top option at the position.
JULY 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Three hits, two runs in win Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Saturday's 14-6 win over Kansas City.
Impact The outfielder seemed refreshed at the plate after getting a day off Friday. He entered Saturday's contest hitting just .214 (6-for-28) through eight games in July. Ramirez's three-hit effort was just his third such game this season. He's slashing a solid .280/.325/.457 with six home runs, 22 RBI, 24 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through 200 plate appearances as Cleveland's near-everyday right fielder.
JULY 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Heads to bench Ramirez will sit Friday against the Royals.
Impact Ramirez sits after starting 14 straight games. He's in the middle of his best big-league season to date, but his .269/.316/.445 slash line still isn't anything particularly exciting. Daniel Johnson will be the right fielder in his absence.
