Lands on injured list
Heredia was placed on the 10-day injured list with right hamstring inflammation, retroactive to April 30.
Impact
Heredia wasn't in the lineup for Friday's series opener against Toronto, and he'll miss additional time due to a hamstring issue. Cristian Pache was recalled in a corresponding move and could see playing time in center field while Heredia is sidelined.

Bangs out two doubles
Heredia went 2-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, a run scored and an RBI in Monday's 8-7 win over the Cubs.
Impact
The journeyman outfielder has played for five teams over the last four seasons, but Heredia is quickly making a home for himself in Atlanta. Monday's effort was his third multi-hit performance in the last seven games, a stretch during which he's gone 8-for-22 (.364) with a stunning .818 SLG thanks to two homers and four doubles. As long as he's raking, Heredia should remain the team's starting center fielder.

Turns in career-best game
Heredia went 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI on Sunday in Atlanta's 13-4 win over the Cubs.
Impact
Heredia slugged one of Atlanta's four home runs off Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks in the first inning, then supplied the finishing blow of the night with a grand slam in the sixth off reliever Ryan Tepera. Considering the 30-year-old entered the day with just 19 career home runs, Heredia can't be counted on to regularly provide power production, but Sunday's huge performance should solidify him as the everyday center fielder while Cristian Pache (groin) and Ender Inciarte (hamstring) are on the injured list. All three of the Atlanta center fielders had been struggling mightily this season prior to Sunday, combining to produce a .167 average, zero RBI and a .472 OPS.

Playing time on rise
Heredia will start in center field and bat eighth Sunday against the Cubs.
Impact
Heredia will be making his third start in four days, and he looks like he could be in store for a short-term run as Atlanta's primary center fielder while both Cristian Pache (groin) and Ender Inciarte (hamstring) are on the injured list. The 30-year-old has thus far gone hitless in seven at-bats with Atlanta since being called up Wednesday.
